DashHopes is definitely better...Jying was better for sure...most have left imgflip...these people that top the 7 day leaderboard nowadays couldn't keep a 100,000 point average going with only 3 submissions a day in ONLY the Fun stream like we all did...with multiple streams and 50 memes a day, anyone can score lots of points.

that's not entirely true. see, each upvote gives you 40 points. say if you had 500 upvotes that earns you 20,000 points, and around 100 comments. each comment earns you 50 points, so that would be an additional 50,000 points, but most comments are replies, and they don't count. so, you can expect about 25,000 points from a meme with 500 ups or so. in just a week, RYKHANE got one meme with 800 ups, two with 650, three with three hundred, and two with 200. that's about 150,000 points in a week. of course there is an additional 50,000 points too, but still, 150,000 is a lot. RambIes got two with 700, one with 600, one with 550, and two with 400. that right there is about 160,000 points in the span of a week and a half (if RYKAHNE had the same span of a week and a half that would bring his total to 185,000).

That's the other thing...back then, geting over 300 upvotes, even on front page memes, was not very common...nowadays getting over 300 is commonplace for front page...for the longest time over 500 took almost a miracle.

Yes, this is so true. I joined imgflip right before there seemed to be a mass exodus of the best/most popular memers, and a crazy influx of children that will upvote anything...especially upvote-begging memes and blatant reposts of reposts of reposts.

i tested it out by seeing how much points rose in each scenario

i'm not sure because of multiple submissions. a lot of people like RambIes and RYKHANE are actually making quality memes, not like others who have like thousands of creations and their memes aren't even funny. a lot of people have like 2,000 creations and have the same amount of creations as me or like 10,000 comments. i don't know how you can even make that many memes or comment that much in the first place.

To me RambIes is the hottest memer right now, all of his memes have potentiol to get front page
