I did not mean to suggest anyone in particular, like a main stream politician. I guess I should have been more specific and said "racists," I thought that most people would get my point.
As for the charges, I trust professionals. It is difficult to prove premeditation, which I believe is necessary for a Fisrt Degree charge.. "Over-charging," often leads to not guilty verdicts. Mr. Gowdy is a political gadfly. He and others who like to get their names in the papers are likely to weigh in on this tragedy.
I feel sorry for the junior officers who were standing around while Chauvin was acting tough. As much as people might not believe it, there is a possibility that one or two of them might have been concentrating on something else and were not aware of exactly what was going on. After the susect had been subdued (not saying he put up a major resistance, but he was taken to the ground) and handcuffed, they probably moved on to concentrating on other factors, not on camera. They are being judged as if their knee was on Mr. Floyd's neck. Rightly or wrongly, their lives are now ruined.
