Rioting isn't justice. Robbing innocent people isn't justice. Burning down your city isn't justice.

He still is. And doubling down on it calling the violence "warranted." No, it is not warranted. It is a crime to loot, assault, and burn buildings no matter what you claim the cause is.

Actually, it's not funny. It isn't funny to see someone's livelihood being destroyed right before their eyes when they had nothing to do with the death of a man.

By the way, it is t just Whitey's businesses being destroyed. Black businesses are also being destroyed and there are black owners taking up arms to defend them.

But if there were ever an incident of egregious police misconduct that justifies the behavior we’re seeing, you’re looking at it.

Hard to even conceive of a more disgusting image, but I suppose new lows can always theoretically be set.

I think everyone is in agreement that the cop is a murderer and there was no justification for what he did. The cop is being charged with murder and those that were standing around allowing it, are also being punished. But destroying the city is not appropriate. I don't see the riots stopping. I mean, justice is being served and yet they continue destroying it.

The riots will peter our eventually as they always do. In the meantime, we should try to understand where they came from.

MLK had this to say about it.

The police brutality is the spark, but there is a lot of daily struggle and strife (economically and socially) that blacks have to put up with that serve as the tinder.

If blacks were treated well overall, I don’t think they’d be out in the street like this. And the fortunate few who are doctors, lawyers, investment bankers or what-have-you probably aren’t.

So there is the matter of immediate justice for the murdering cop, but also larger systemic issues that the riots shine a spotlight on.

I don't really need to understand anything. They're thugs and criminals just using the murder as an excuse to do what they always do...criminal activity.

Only racists believe that tripe. And guess what, black people can be racist too. It isn't the white man who invented slavery and human abuse. Remember, it was a vast majority of white men who fought to end slavery. Police brutality is a thing as much as any other organization have bad people in them.

Riots do nothing for a cause. They only cause more problems and in the end get nothing accomplished other than destroying businesses that don't deserve to be destroyed. Stealing a PlayStation has nothing to do with racial equality.

Except the riots have caused the armchair quarterbacks who ridiculed Kaepernick’s peaceful protests to sit up and pay attention.
