Do you support the baptism of babies or not? And why?

Babies arent making the choice to be baptized. Also, the person has to be completely submerged in the water.

We make decisions for babies all the time, we take them to the doctor, we give them shots or medication as needed, we make decisions for them all the time. Why not allow them entry into Gods family early on in their life then they can decide as they grow up?

Those choices aren’t as important as eternal salvation.

Yes and the point i'm making is if we take our child to the doctor when they can't make that decision for themselves why would we deprive them of the spiritual benefits of baptism because they can't choose for themselves? To me that's like depriving your baby of food because he can't feed himself.

I guess it depends on what one believes baptism is and does for the soul. What do you believe?

So what do you do as a parent up to the point the can decide for themselves? In my experience kids who aren't taught the faith as children will only turn their backs on the church once they can make that decision.

No until they understand I understood God and scriptures around 6 years old
