The Nazi Party never won a majority in any election, though they achieved a plurality in March 1933 and used their leverage to consolidate power and effectively cancel democracy.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_1933_German_federal_election

The sham elections the Nazis held thereafter were not worthy of the name, and thereafter the Nazis were no longer “duly elected” in any meaningful sense.

But hey, nice try!

March 1933 is the last election that mattered, as it is the last one that was contested “fairly.”

The Nazi government was illegitimate from a democratic perspective thereafter.

Hope this helps.

The Nazis became tyrannical by insulating themselves from democratic accountability.

The first concentration camp for political prisoners was built in March 1933, which coincides with the timeline of their last ”legitimate” election victory.

“Legitimate” in scare quotes because I haven’t audited those March 1933 ballots myself, and it stands to reason that the Nazi intimidation was already ongoing at that time. But for purposes of argument let’s assume it was fair enough.

That was bad enough but it still took several more years of unaccountability for the Nazis to unleash the full force of their tyrannical horrors.

Hope this helps.
