It's Giving Me An Anxiety Attack

I recently turned 17 and I mean, birthdays aren't really a big deal to me, but I'm also a senior now and that means I have to figure out what I'm going to do after I graduate. If you're nervous about driving, I guess that's natural and probably good cause you can use that to help you drive safely as long as you don't let it control you. I still haven't gotten a job yet (cause I'm usually really busy) but this summer I'm going to be doing that since I don't really have anything going on.
Overall, the only thing I really get worried about (like, out of anything) is thinking about college. I think the best advice I can give you is to just take it one thing at a time and look at it in perspective. Growing up involves changes, and if you've made it this far you've already had to make some so it's not entirely new and these are just slightly bigger changes.

You're turning 16? Wow! That's great! I'm 14 next year, so I have time to not get anxious about my birthday.

But let's be honest. Birthday's are nothing to be anxious about. It's the celebration of the day you were born

I'm getting anxious about it because, you know, getting my 1st job and all that jazz. And you know what, I really regret wanting to grow up.

Hey, my brother is 16, 17 this year, so I know how stressful it is to be a teenager.

On the plus side, at least I get to be a Junior this year (or 11th grade if you go by grades)

Hey, I just turned 16 a month or so ago, relax girl!! It's just a birthday. Don't put any pressure on yourself to try to do everything, it is a day FOR YOU!! Make the most of it:) It was a huge shock to me, because I still both feel and act like I'm 12, but I think that's okay. Don't try to grow up too fast, don't try to fit into any mold or anything.

Me too. Like there have been a few nights where I've been trapped in my own depression and cried over the past. It felt good to let it out, but still, really depressing

Same here, I had to let it all out because I cried for 2 hours

I still haven't applied for any jobs, I'm busy writing the next great book series, haha and am taking writing courses during the summer. But my friend is applying, and it's hard for her. But you can do it! Belief!!

What for? Theres nothing to worry about. The only thing im worried about is getting my permit, but the DMV is closed anyway

Well, im also nervous about getting a permit, cuz its super dangerous but I do wanna know how to drive, so its a catch22. First job, well yeah that's scary but not if you know what you're doing. Find a job you actually like, that involves your hobbies. And being an adult is inevitable, being an adult isn't actually being mature. Maturity comes with age, and mind. Adults aren't all really adults, so its fine.

I've had my permit since last summer, it's terrifying to drive for me and as impossible as it may seem, you actually get used to it. My advice: Don't start driving in a parking lot, try country roads or something. I haven't gotten a job yet, but getting closer to being an adult IS kind of scary. My take on it is don't try to grow up fast, you don't have to. No pressure

About that, when I was a kid, I wanted to be an adult, and now as I get older, I regret that.
