"a hundred" is how it was written in my English textbook and it stated that "one hundred" is officially ALWAYS incorrect, but generally accepted (but then again textbooks have been in disagreement with each other several times). And indeed "a hundred and one", does have the "a" in the "and"

My English teachers all disagreed on that one and state one hundred is incorrect but generally accepted and that a hundred is the official name. But hey, they are only teachers, so what do they know.
