I have not.

Last year we visited Australia for the first time (and hopefully not the last) and on the Qantas return flight home, I splurged and got my wife coach-class seats with extra leg room

The only reason I did not get said upgrade as well was because I somehow misclicked when ordering my own seat upgrade

She was not happy

The story has a happy ending though: I just watched a live Kylie concert on my in-flight entertainment console over and over again

Qantas is legit. Amazing airline. Puts Americans’ joke excuses for airlines to shame.

Probably because you better make sure the damn 16-hour flight to Australia is enjoyable or no one would ever go.

I have flown business on Delta (meh), Virgin (very nice) and Eastern China (very comfortable). The 15 hour flights were nothing compared to the 9 hours it took to get home once I landed in NY. Should have taken 3.
