Just damn. You weren't kidding, this is a damned good beer, although I would almost rather refer to it as "chocolate wine". Smooth, cocoa, hazelnuts, almonds, caramel, toffee, roasted malt, raisins, dried cherries, muted and well developed hop infusion, more like dandelions for bittering than hops but sophisticated enough to know different. This is possibly one of the most complex beers I've ever drank. And my concerns about being too sweet or alcoholic tasting that comes with many heavy high gravity beers are non-existent. Granted, this is a one-and-done drink for sure! I'm really glad you made this recommendation, and even more glad they had it at the store. If they still have any left I'm buying more to save for later, lol! Thanks dude, cheers.

yes!!!! Awesome, you drank God's elixir. The stuff is by far my favorite beer. There are a number of variants of it released every year. The coffee variety is arguably better than the original. Then you have your Proprietor's blend and also Rare. Both are exceedingly difficult to come by and are usually very expensive. If you ever see variants or a
Prop or Rare, and you can afford, buy buy buy. I will buy of you wanna ship to me, lol. Really glad you liked it. It is a treat. My buddy has a whole cellar full of it...from many years and all the variants and everything. Hos cellar is worth tens of thousands of dollars. Lots of other barrel-aged stuff in it too.

no biggie, although I was gonna say you need a snifter or chalice glass lol. Pretty much doesn't affect the taste, but some people argue otherwise. I really enjoy how the beer changes as it warms up. That is the main reason a chalice or snifter is best. Allows you to take a long time to drink without warming up too much too soon.

Yeah I wouldn't argue it affects the taste, but the experience yes. Aroma is a big part of the experience, and glass design affects that greatly. I got plenty of aromas yesterday though, very good experience and quite enjoyable. I'll be on the lookout for the other releases too, the coffee one sounds really good! Thanks again bud.
