Half and half. Now...What I see here is the generally good type of meme. Not one notices it, but it makes sense and will make people laugh...You do, however, need to look at what get's the views...I have been on imgflip for less than a month now (my date on my profile is wrong) and have made over 110,500 points with 35 followers...I used to have 200,000 points with 45 followers before I left. That took me over a year...It all depends on the laughing and clicking factor. I am not saying that you make clickbait, but make memes that would seem appealing to the average person. This oftentimes is Gifs. People love gifs...You can look at the create gif section, go down a tad bit lower and you will see that 4out of the 6 memes on the gif section are mine.
You have to look closely at what people upvote and base your content off of that. Definitely don't copy, but have the general idea of those memes you aspired from.
