Happy Bad Photoshop Sunday, Great White "North" (BPS still isn't really a thing lol). Didn't drink too much beer last night. My wife got me a kegerator for father's day and I ordered a keg which will be in on Tuesday so I'm saving it up. It is nice to be able to go out a little, but there was a bit of an uptick in confirmed cases here so no counting our chickens. "Welcome Back Kotter" was my favorite show at that time (Arnold Horshack used to really crack me up). I saw a picture of Gabe Kaplan and he looked totally different. If you are familiar with Dennis DeYoung of Styx he had a very similar transformation (from bushy dark fro to short gray hair).

I think I mentioned that our oldest dog is named after Brian Wilson. When I was naming my top ten most influential albums on Facebook "Pet Sounds" made the cut. We used to sing "Sloop John B." in third grade music and "God Only Knows" is one of my favorite tracks (it was my ringtone for quite some time. When I hear the song I still reach for my cell sometimes). Thanks for the link, I will be watching it shortly.

Have a great BPS and whatever you do don't "sit on it" :-)

LOL! Love the Bob and Doug "The Fonz" meme! I just remembered that his full name was "Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli"...he could have been nicknamed "Herbie" LOL! I wanted to see Gabe's "transformation" and found a reunion pic from 2011...they all look totally different...especially "Epstein" LOL! Oh, did you get a chance to watch the Brian Wilson clip? I watch it every now and again and don't plan on ever erasing it! :)

I pray that you folks keep don't see too much of an increase in "cases" on the west coast. We hadn't had any cases here in almost 50 days...but they loosened up travel restrictions for people coming in from the Atlantic Provinces and now there's been one confirmed case linked to it. I am very nervous about this "Atlantic Bubble"...we should just keep the island "off limits" for a little while longer!
Have a great BPS buddy...have you plans for any mass consumption of kegerators today? :) Consume one for me! LOL! Cheers!

LMAO!...Or he could have been nicknamed "Artie". In 2005, Seattle's county (King) officially renamed itself after Martin Luther King to show the world how woke they are. Now that we are finding out how evil George Washington was I feel it's time we rebrand our state as Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington State. (I can't remember if I ever sent you the Photoshopped flag). It's amazing how much the cast changed. Sadly, Horshack, Epstein and Julie are no longer with us (and I would have to guess Mr. Woodman).

I did watch that Brian Wilson clip and it was very touching. A couple of years ago I mentioned that I that I that I thought Brian Wilson is America's greatest composer and my wife took me to task. I just got a Burt Bacharach cd (I'm one of those dinosaurs that still buys the occasional cd) and realize that saying "greatest composer" is a pretty tall order (but I still won't say that Brian isn't).

Thanks for the prayers (sending prayers back your way). We've had a couple cases that have landed nearby (son-in-law's mother-in-law is a confirmed case and coworker's "stepdaughter's" roommate is positive). Even so, I'm sure we'll be all right. You take care of yourself!

We're making beef jerky today so it is the perfect excuse to stay home and draw pints of Reuben's Hazealicious off the kegerator (still haven't named it, but it would be "Wilson" if it wasn't already taken)

Happy BPS and here's mud in your eye! Lol. :-)

Happy pre BPS Saturday buddy! I'm watching an old re-run of "Frasier" and remembering my unforgettable vacation in Seattle! :) "Frasier" has to be one of my favourite comedy series...well written and well acted. Glad that you enjoyed the Brian Wilson clip! :) Yeah, there are too many amazing American songwriters to name the "greatest"...the first couple that just popped into head were Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash!

So sorry to hear about the COVID cases that have developed so close to you. I hope you and yours stay safe out there! I dropped down to my best friend's last Sunday for the first time since all this crap started and have never been so happy to see him and his wife...life is slowly easing back to some semblance of "normal"! :)

I had a great day yesterday...I took the day off and had my 2009 Corolla (just paid her off after 4 years of monthy payments...yahoooo!) "detailed"...washed, waxed, interior shampooing etc...she has that "new car" look and smell again! :) Now...do you know anything about spray painting rusty lookin' rims? LOL!

How was the beef jerky and what's on the kegerator agenda for your weekend? My Irish born father's favourite "toast" was the Gaelic word "Slantia" (pronounced Slon-cha) meaning "Health"...so Slantia! Have a good one and take care :)

LMAO, but Denzel is way too classy for this nuthouse! "Frasier" is one of my all time favorite sitcoms. The cast was awesome and the writing was terrific.

To date the only COVID cases I have firsthand knowledge of are the two I mentioned (The stepdaughter never contracted it and the mother-in-law is over it and her symptoms were minor. A few weeks ago a watchdog group accused the state of overstating the number of deaths due to COVID which the governor immediately denied (he said the group was from the "planet Pluto" (I'm sure Pluto will be ecstatic to learn Jay Inslee has just returned it to planet status) and the accusations were "malarkey" (there's a good Irish word for ya). Last week the state had to admit that they were indeed over stating the number of COVID deaths and even so the governor keeps threatening to move us backward. I'm glad to hear that you are heading in the right direction.

I don't know much about painting rusty rims, but I do know when I got my truck I had a half dozen flats in the course of a couple of months. This didn't make any sense since the tires were brand spanking new so I asked the guy at the tire shop and he said the rims were so beat up it was hard to get a good seal on the tires.

The beef jerky came out great, possibly our best batch yet and we have Silver City Tropic Haze tapped and Lake Stevens Big Dock on deck. The first date my wife and I went on was to an Irish pub and we got engaged at the same pub at the same table so I've seen "Slantia" printed all over the bar, but have never heard it pronounced. We'll, it's beer thirty and the dog poop is calling. Have a great week and SLANTIA! :-)

Good Bad Photoshop Sunday my friend! Excellent and appropriate meme! LOL! So how many hockey games did you catch yesterday and how many beer did you consume while watching them? LOL! I know how much you love hockey so I am very happy for you! :) When I really followed hockey (late 60's-70's) my favourite teams were Chicago and Boston...are the Esposito brothers still alive? LOL! I'm just wondering when they will superimpose "holograph" fans into the stands! :)

As if I wasn't busy enough at my day job, I decided to paint the rusty rims on my car (I call her "Sherry" after the previous owner, an older lady who took good care of her LOL!) Estimates from body shops were between $80-$120 per rim to have them repainted properly...shag that! LOL! So I bought a tin of flat black Tremclad Rust Paint and a couple of cheap 1" foam brushes from Canadian Tire for $20 and painted the rims right on the car. I am not "handy" at vehicle repair nor painting...but the rims came out looking a lot better than I had expected! Whattya think? :)
Hope all is well over there, west coast! Will you be enjoying a couple of hockey games today? Take care and Go Bruins! :)

Nice job on the rims, they look sharp! I'm not too handy with vehicles either, but I did put an "Everett Silvertips Season Ticket Holder" license plate holder on my car and truck (actually I've made minor repairs, but nothing too earth shattering).

I do love hockey although I was brought up on football...even so we were all Blackhawks fans...Tony Esposito and Stan Makita (was floored when Stan Makita made a cameo appearance in Wayne's World). Loved Bobby Orr, but probably my favorite player from that era was Ken Dryden (The Canadien's goalie). Seattle just announced that our NFL franchise will be called The Kraken and although I will follow them on TV I will always bleed Silvertip green. We sit on the glass just outside the trapezoid and so we get great views of the goalies. One of those goalies (Carter Hart) is now starting for The Flyers. I hate to say it, but The Flyers beat The Bruins yesterday and Hart only gave up one goal.

Right now we are going a-holes and elbows supplying the hockey arena and we're ramping up for a major Microsoft campus remodel (includes the largest parking garage on the planet) and two Facebook buildings, and Amazon etc.

My wife bought a horse last week so we've been spending a lot of time at the stable. He's a retired racehorse (actually won two races in 2015) and he is quite large.

Have a great week and go 'Tips! :-)

Well hello west coast! :) I am still alive and kickin' and working hard here on the east coast. Actually, I am "screwing the pooch" here at work while the bosses take and extended lunch...the longer the better! LOL! I was a hockey goalie back in my school days and my heros were Tony Esposito and Gerry Cheevers...I liked Ken Dryden too but he was a Hab and I hated the Canadiens! LOL! My Blackhawks play tonight at 12 midnight and once again, they need to win to carry on. My Bruins are doing great and had quite the comeback yesterday...fingers croosed both of my teams will move on to the next round! :)
I heard that Seattle was getting an NHL team...it's about time. My buddy has a big bottle of rum...called
"The Kraken"...I guess your new team will have a giant squid for the logo?
Your wife bought a horse? WOW! Now that's a big purchase...what's your horsie's name? :)
Thanks for the compliment on my rims...now I just have to find the time and energy to put on my new hubcaps! Take care out there my friend and we will "chat" soon! :)

Happy Bad Photoshop Sunday Eve east coast! Compared to some of the other names under consideration I guess Kraken isn't too bad. I guess that means the fans will be The Krakheads and Climate Pledge Arena (possibly the worst name in sports) will be The Krakhouse. We are supplying tons (literally) of prefab to CPA and every time I send any out I'm tempted to label it "Krakhouse", but I'm not sure the general contractor and owners share my sense of humor.

Growing up The Blackhawks were my favorite team and Bobby Orr is still one of my all favorites. I think I've mentioned that we have season tickets to The Everett Silvertips. We are on the glass just outside the trapezoid and for four seasons we sat just over Carter Hart's right shoulder in the first and third periods (talk about a highlight show). Now that Carter is starting for Philadelphia you can probably guess who I'm pulling for in the playoffs. Earlier this week Carter became the second you gets player in NHL history to record two consecutive shutouts (although he got knocked around a little a week ago Friday and then last Wednesday). Our current goalie (Dustin Wolf, Calgary) is also very special...named WHL and CHL goalie of the year for 2019-2020. He also won CHL play of the year on the CHL app. Hopefully years from now I'll be pulling for Calgary in the playoffs.

My wife's horse is a retired racehorse (He won two races in 2015 and showed in a couple others) named Roman Ridge. She's not crazy about the name Roman (my favorite quarterback growing up was Roman Gabriel), I don't think she's gonna change it. He is huge, but has a good demeanor.

Enjoy your week and go Hawks! Go Bruins! Go Flyers! Go 'Tips! :-)

Hey what's Kraken' on this Bad Photoshop Sunday? LOL! Love the Homer Kraken T-shirt...you should be selling that one! :) I think that the Bruins and Flyers are still in it...with all these postponements I am getting confused! As a Canadian I would love to see Vancouver and Boston in the Stanley Cup...if that match-up is even possible! :) I am enjoying watching the games and find that the broadcasts have hyped up a bit more with lotsa "fan reaction" noise and background rock music...who needs human fans? LOL!

Yesterday was my brother and wife's (Des and Sandy) 50th. Wedding Anniversary and as their 9 year old ring-bearer I am amazed at the flashbacks I can remember from way back when...also reminds me how friggin' old I am! LOL! I can remember dancing to "Red Red Wine" with the "flower girl" (Jeanette)...I still have a crush on her! :)

We're supposed to get the remnants of Hurricane Laura today but so far so good...we need rain but we don't need no stinkin' hurricane! Have a great Sunday my friend, stay safe and enjoy the hockey on TV today...if there's any to be seen! :) Cheers!

Oops...accidentally hit post...until The Everett Silvertips entered The WHL in 2003.

Love the meme and the "What's Kraken'" comment. How did the remnants of the hurricane work out? The weather here has sucked all summer. The meteorologists all promised us that this last 3 day weekend of the summer was gonna be great, but so far The Evergray State is living up to its name.

A little earlier we were driving home from looking at a saddle and heard that the police had a road shut down just a couple of blocks away from us. We drove out to check it out and when we got there somebody told us that there was a man barricaded in a house with weapons. Just heard a siren so I'm guessing it's still going on...guess we'll find out on the news tonight.

Don't work too hard and stay dry! :-)

Good Labour Day Long Weekend Monday west coast! :) Man, it's gonna be another warm and sunny day here...we have had one helluva nice summer weather wise...makes up for that crappy old virus! :) I lucked into a bone-in 2 lb. prime rib roast yesterday that was mislabeled at half the sale price (sale price was $10/lb.) now I just have to figure out how to saw her in half and throw a steak on the barbie this afternoon! LOL!

Wuv the Kwaken hockey meme! LOL! I can't create memes anymore because I've been using illegal copies of CorelDraw and Photoshop for years and all of a sudden those companies are cracking down, making programs unusable and instructing you to buy a legit copy online! Shag that shite! LOL! Any idea how I could download "similar" programs for free? Anything even faintly resembling Photoshop would be excellent! :)

I was hoping that The Flyers were gonna win too...and with no Canadian team left alive, I have no team to cheer for...I always like the old Minnesota North Stars so I think I'll cheer for Dallas! :) How I wish that I still had my old shoe box full of hockey cards...see attached pic...Gump looks pissed off...must be close to retirement! LOL! Take care and have a great holiday yourself! :)

Happy Hump Day! If you are working on a smartphone or tablet I would recommend the Photolayers app. It's what I mostly use and though it's not perfect, with a little creativity you can do some cool stuff. Last time I looked (a long time ago) they didn't offer a version for laptops.

We are pretty hazy out here. All the smoke from Eastern Washington is blowing over here. It's supposed to start clearing tomorrow, but we've had some pretty amazing sunrises and sunsets (fighting the urge to break into "Fiddler On The Roof").

Being that I don't like any of the other three teams I guess I'm left with Dallas too.

Enjoy your great weather and fresh air! :-)

LOL! Forrest Gump Worsley is excellent! Could have been part of the movie! LOL! Thanks for the tip regarding Photolayers. I haven't found much free stuff on the net but I do have a bunch of old discs that may have a program I could use...I will find something! :)
Yeah, go Dallas go...In memory of Lorne Worsley! :) I would like to see the finals go 7 games just for something to watch on TV...as if Baseball, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis and Golf weren't enough! LOL!

I just happened to flick on The Emmy Awards last night to see "Schitt's Creek" fill up the first hour with a sweep of all 7 awards for a comedy series...Jimmy Kimmel commented that "we should have built a Northern wall" LOL! Have you ever seen the show? It's been on for 6 seasons (80 episodes) and I have only seen bits and pieces. I think that it's on Netflix so I must add it to the list of dozens of shows that I probably won't have time to watch! LOL!

Another day, another dollar! How's the wildfires over there? I hope that Wilson ain't on a hot tin roof! :) Avoid the purple haze and have a great day my friend! :)

Thanks, I hope Photolayers works for you. Several computers ago I had the actual Photoshop, but never really played with it that much. I find that Photolayers in combination with a couple of other apps (Add Text being one of my most recent favorites) lets me bad Photoshop the way I like to bad Photoshop.

Watched Dallas lose in overtime last night so I'm really pulling for them to at least win the next two so the series goes to seven. Our local team (The Silvertips) has set early December as a prospective season opening. They intend to play an entire season so the playoffs could potentially be in June.

Years ago I saw a trailer for Schitt's Creek, but had no idea that it ever made it past the pilot. Don't have a lot of TV time, but maybe I can try to watch a few...if I get hooked I'm screwed. Other than news and hockey, about the only thing we watch on purpose is Ozark, have you seen it? They are doing one last season and I think it's supposed to come out pretty soon.

Wildfires have been replaced by rain and the haze has gone, but I have a keg of Hazealicious tapped so I'll take that. How's the weather down south?

Hope you're busy, but not too busy. Have a great Bad Photoshop Sunday Eve amigo. :-)

LOL! I loved Emily Litella's appearances on the old SNL! I haven't got my Photoshop replacement figured out yet but I did find the attached meme on the net and thought it was cute! :) I fell asleep during last night's hockey game only to wake up to the Tampa Bay team kissing the Stanley Cup...that's gotta be against COVID regulations! LOL! Now that's all over, I hear that the baseball playoffs start tonight and our Blue Jays are playing the Rays...another team from Tampa Bay...Go Jays! :)

I am PVRing tonight's Trump/Biden debate tonight just in case I doze off...it's supposed to be the most watched Presidential debate ever...I am sure that it will be quite entertaining! :) I'm just wondering will Joe appear on stage wearing a mask just to piss Donald off! LOL!

A couple of my friends love watching Ozark (and Fargo) on Netflix so I have added both to "my list"...I'm off on holiday all week so maybe I will start watching Ozark. Good to hear that your wildfires have calmed down and you can "Breathe, breathe in the air" once again! :) It's been "Sunny Days" here for the past week and the weather's supposed to be warm and sunny for the next few days...I will take it! :) Enjoy tonight's debate (if you watch it)...you might wanna crack open that keg of Hazealicious just to help ya get through it! LOL! Take care my friend! :)

LOL! Happy Bad Photoshop Sunday Eve friend. Loved SNL back in the day, but haven't really watched it since the Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman days. How about this for a mind stretcher? Do you remember Jim Henson's Muppets being part of the first season? (The Mighty Favog in the land of Gorch). Don't know what made me think of that just now, haven't thought about that in decades, Emily must have pulled it out of my subconscious.

We were supposed to have good weather this weekend, but we're actually trapped in a fog bank...not sure whether it's fog or more haze. Hazealicious is now history, but I have a honey wheat tapped appropriately named "Firehouse".

Totally spaced out game six until my wife was looking at Facebook and said Tampa Bay won. The Blue Jays and Mariners came into the league the same year (1977) and while The Jays have two World Series, The M's currently hold the streak for the longest absence from the playoffs in all four leagues: NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB. Be that as it may, the year my son was born, 1995, was one of the most exciting I've ever seen...Randy Johnson, Griffey, Edgar, Buhner and company performed nightly magic for two months. I still get choked up when I think about Randy walking to the mound to pitch extra inning relief on 0 nights rest and Edgar scoring Griffey from first base on a shot down the left field line to end the ALDS.

Have a great week and Go Jays! :-)

How's she goin' buddy? :) Sorry for the extremely slow reply! We're still alive and kickin' here in Newfoundland and hope that all is well with you out there on the west coast. I sure can't remember The Muppets being part of the first season of SNL...I'm gonna have to google that when I get a chance. You've got me remembering Alice Cooper's appearance on The Muppet Show...I wish that Alice was here for a Halloween concert (sigh) maybe someday! :)

Are ya watching the World Series? I am really enjoying it...loads of home runs and close games...I really don't care who wins as long as the series goes 7 games! :) My best friend and I were sitting in his "men's den" garage last weekend watching a doc on past World Series games...Reggie Jackson was one of my favs (Mr. October) playing for The A's and The Yanks...now that was "baseball"! :)

Have you cast your ballot already in the upcoming election? If Sleepy Joe wins I'm just hoping that Donald accepts defeat, and tweets "I'M FIRED!"...then grabs his entire family and helicopters off for exile in Russia Russia Russia! LOL! It's gonna be an interesting 9 days for sure! :) Well ciao for now my friend! Have a safe and happy week and chat soon! :)

Happy Bad Photoshop Sunday Eve, East Coast. Watching game 7 of the Flyers series and after 1 it's not looking too hot. I've always loved the sport of hockey, but without a local team it's hard to follow it. In the early '90's I adopted The Canucks as my local team (Trevor Linden, Pavel Bure, Kirk Mclean), but the newspaper gave them little mention and the only time I could see them play was when they were on "Hockey Night In Canada". I had a hard time remaining enthusiatic and drifted away from hockey until The Everett Silvertips entered The WHL IN

LMAO! I forgot Dan Bunz and I think there are more. Warren Moon won the 1978 Rose Bowl as quarterback for my alma mater Washington Huskies. He then played several seasons for The Edmonton Eskimos and I believe he set a lot of records and won a Grey Cup or two or more. He then was picked up by The Houston Oilers and finished his hall of fame (Canadian and American) career with The Seattle Seahawks. After retiring he became the color man for The Seahawks alongside former Hawk Steve Raible on KIRI radio. I know Raible is still play by play, but not sure if Warren is still doing color. :-)

Happy Friday evening Newfoundland! The UW had another quarterback that played in The NFL back in the 70's: Sonny Sixkiller. The first football games my dad ever took me to were Husky games and Sonny was our QB (Before The Seahawks came along in 1976). Chuck Barr is ("Gong Show" creator and host) wrote a book ("Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind") where he claimed he was a CIA assassin who often used the alias "Sunny Sixkiller" (with a "U" instead of an "O"). Years ago he was on a local radio show and the host asked him if he knew who Sonny Sixkiller was. He said he thought he was a QB for The Huskies and the host asked him if he wanted to talk to him (Sonny was working for the station as a sports analyst at the time). Chuck freaked out when he got to talk to Sonny (another small world story).

Congratulations on going back to work! I am thankful every day that I've been able to stay working. We are at level one trying to get to four and we were supposed to be eligible for two on June 2nd, but it looks like that carpet is going to be pulled out from under us. Have a great long weekend and don't work too hard when you get back! :-)

LOL! Now that's politically incorrect! :) Good Saturday morning "best coast"! :) It's too bad that American style football isn't a popular "organized sport" here...it would be nice to watch a few games. Soccer and Rugby are played a fair bit and we have produced some world class players! :) Thank you for the "congrats", my friend! Alas, it's not a long weekend here...I kinda wish it was 'cause the boss lady (owners are a husband and wife team) warned us all to expect a lotta "overtime" next week...once again, I ain't complaining! LOL!

You say that you are only at Level One? Will Alice be able to worship at your local church after his round of golf this weekend? :) Cheers to the both of us for being amongst the "not too many" to have a job during these surreal times...and I think that workers at McDonalds, Walmart, supermarkets, gas bars, etc. deserve a helluva lot more than minimum wage and should be given "contact pay"! :) Right then...off to blow me paycheck on some fine wine and fancy women! LOL! Y'all have a good one!

LMAO! Nice! G'day mate. For most of my life football has been THE sport. Played soccer as a kid, really loved watching cricket when I was in The South Pacific, became a huge baseball fan in the '90's when The Mariners were fun. Always liked hockey because there is so little down time. We started walking (the house in Everett is about 5 blocks from the arena) to hockey about 8 years ago and now I have to say hockey is my favorite sport (must be the Canadian in me).

Even though it's hectic, isn't it great to be working? We were getting slow to the point that I took the last 2 Fridays off, but jobs are starting back up and this week the orders started pouring in...here we go!

Funny you bring up Alice and church. Our meet and greet concert was on a Sunday and somebody asked Alice where he golfed that day. He said, "I don't golf on Sunday, I go to church". Somebody asked which church and it turns out he went to the Baptist church that is just a couple blocks away from the Everett house. Talk about an opportunity lost...if we had been there we could have yelled out, "The Reverend Smith he recognized me and punched me in the nose"...don't think Alice would have appreciated that.

I don't know about fast food workers, but grocery store workers here are getting hazard pay.

Enjoy your fine women and fancy wine...oops...Cheers! :-)

LMAO! Now that's a meme! :) Well I guess my body clock is back to normal as I'm now hitting the hay "early" and waking up "early"...just in time to flick on TV and I'm now enjoying "A Clockwork Orange" (one of my favourite films)...a bit of "ultraviolence" to start off a Sunday! LOL! Yes, it is wonderful to be working...as Canadian Joni Mitchell would sing "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone"! :) Looks like you and I can count ourselves as being amongst the "blessed" living on this continent...or on a big island of rock just off the continent! :)

There was nothing "psychic" involved with my "Alice going to church" comment as you told me about your Cooper concert several weeks ago! LOL! I told you before that I was in Seattle back in the late 90's...I played 9 holes of golf at Jefferson Park Public Golf Course (Freddie Couples learned how to play golf there, I think?). I actually played with a "TV personality" (as the cashier at the Pro Shop described him) I will save the rest of my "brush with the stars" for later on! LOL! Have a great Bad Photoshop Sunday my friend! :)

LMAO! When I first saw your meme I thought it was Michael Scott from The American Office. I've never seen "A Clockwork Orange" in its entirety (on the bucket list), but I know what the premise is. For some reason when I think of it I think of an old Monty Python sketch, "Hell's Grannies".

My poor wife works real estate out of our house and with all the regulations it's very difficult to show houses so she spends a lot of time cooped up. I can really see the toll this is taking on her so I am constantly reminded how lucky I am to be working. As Canadian William Shatner might have said, "You don't know what you got 'til it's Gorn"...sorry.

Got 2 of the grandkids over today so things are kinda hectic. One does not simply reason with terrorists...or toddlers. Happy BPS Newfoundland! :-)

LOL! I was trying to figure out who Alice looked like and you are spot on...Steve Carell (The Office, 40 Year Old Virgin)! Yes...watch "A Clockwork Orange" sometime...you can't go wrong with Stanley Kubrick...he's kinda like Terry Gilliam (Pythonesque) :) Nice pun on the Joni Mitchell song! LOL! There are a lot of small businesses still closed here so we are very lucky to be busy, designing and producing "COVID signage" for the spots that are open! :) Hope you had the day off to rest up after your day with your grandkids! Time for supper! Take care and have a peaceful easy evening! :)

LOL! One of the scenes of "A Clockwork Orange" I've seen is at the end when Malcolm McDowell is eating "eggy weggs" and making exaggerated chewing motions (which my OCD became enamored with). I really need to give it some context. It was a mauzy and grainy Memorial Day, but fortunately I was able to mow and pick up the poop (not necessarily in that order) yesterday, even with the grandkids. You take care and, "I'm already there" :-)

LMAO! That's great, I never thought of that pun! :) And I haven't seen the remake of the original and must see it. Yes, wasn't McDowell being "spoon fed" by the "politician"? I can't remember but I loved that smirk on his face! LOL! One of the memorable lines for me, was when Malcolm approached a "bird" in a record shop who was sucking on a single Popsicle and said "It's a bit cold and pointless, isn't it luv?" LOL! My small bed of daffodils are in full bloom all of a sudden and just like that, temps are finally getting into the low 60's..."Life Is Beautiful"...have you seen that film? It's a good 'un! Here's to a most excellent Hump Day!

LOL! I've never seen either version, but I know the premise. Weather here can't make up it's mind...crappy last weekend, sun came out yesterday and looks good today, supposed to be crappy this weekend. I remember "Life Is Beautiful" winning an Oscar for best actor (I think), but haven't seen it and don't know what it's about. Finally saw "Rocket Man" (on the same weekend we watched a bunch of "Ozark"). Trying to keep the two straight, but I keep seeing Elton John laundering money. Have a fantastic hump day! :-)

LOL! For a second there I though that Justin was a baby seal! :) "Elton John laundering money" is funny...I haven't seen Ozark but it sounds like a "gangster" series? Worked late last night and came home and crashed immediately. I woke up around 5:00 AM to catch Python's "And Now For Something Completely Different"...I had forgotten most of it, so I laughed out loud a few times! :) It's gonna warm up to mid-70's and sunny this weekend and I am really looking forward to a BBQ (I like using charcoal over propane)...getting some sun and having a few cold ones! :) "Sunny Days" (by Canadian band Lighthouse). Have a great Friday!

LMAO! Once again at first glance I thought it was David Bowie. One last template in the "Gorn With The Wind" series. The first two seasons of "Ozark" were really good. We finally got around to watching season three and almost didn't make it through episode one. We did and it picked up, but we left off at about episode six and it may be awhile before we finish it. I don't think I've ever seen "And Now For Something Completely Different" start to finish, but I'm familiar with virtually all the skits. Things really warmed up here the couple of days, but it isn't supposed to last. We live in a "convergence zone" where easterly air flows from The Pacific are split in two by the Olympic Mountains on the peninsula and reconverge right on top of us creating nasty weather. Cheers and enjoy your "Sunny Days"...I will have a cold one and enjoy "Strange Days" (by American Band The Doors. :-))...bring on the weekend!

LOL! Yes, I can see Bowie in that wig...minus the toothgap! And it took a moment for me to realize that Spock was saying "I dont give a damn"...great meme! :) I think that we had a record breaking temp for this time of year yesterday...she hit 80F for a few hours, and today is gorgeous too! :) Worked 5 hours OT this morning and I'm ready to relax...we haven't been this busy in years and I may put in a few hours tomorrow...gotta make hay while the sun shines! LOL! I do hope that all is calm on your western front, take care and enjoy your weekend! :)

LMAO! Additionally, the "To be forthright, Captain" is Vulcan for "Frankly my dear". That's great about your weather, wish I could say the same about here (cats and dogs). We watched the SpaceX launch and I can't believe I didn't know the astronauts' names are Bob And Doug! Brace yourself, "Take Off" memes are coming! My son's oldest son is named "Elon" (wouldn't have been my first choice, but oh well). Sounds like you're making up for lost time at work...don't work too hard, but strike while the iron's hot (must be Cliche Saturday). Stay safe my friend! :-)
1 up, 4y
LOL! I didn't know that the astronaut names were Bob and Doug either...I have seen so little TV lately, that I didn't even know that the launch had taken place! LOL! Hey, "Elon" sounds like a good name... just be happy that he isn't named "Musk"! :) I haven't visited imgflip for a couple of days...I'm a little afraid to see what kinda memes are on the politics stream. Watching the recent turmoil down there just seems so surreal (or unreal) to me...and yesterday's White House event was really over the top. I hope that you and yours aren't effected by any of this and are safe. :) Time for supper and Coronation Street on telly! Have a good Hump Day my friend! :)

LOL! I guess "Elon" isn't too bad and his little brother "Milo" is okay (especially since his middle name is "Brian"), but we have brother number three on the way and he's gonna be an "Alfy"...yikes! We just found out daughter number three is in the family way which will bring the grandchildren count to eleven...I'm pretty sure that's gonna be it, but you never know.

We were driving home from Costco on Sunday and daughter two phoned us and said there was something going on in downtown Snohomish, cops, SWAT etc. We turned up 1st Ave and at first didn't see a lot, but as we continued more and more people. We turned a corner and were driving by city hall and there was SWAT and an armoured vehicle. We parked and walked down to The Oxford (who wasn't serving), but found a place nearby that was. Apparently, Antifa posted they were going to go after downtown Snohomish and a ton of people turned out to defend the town. A lot of AR-15's and sidearms, but most people were unarmed. Stayed over 5 hours (The dogs weren't happy) and had a lot of fun and too much beer. Net result: no weapons drawn, no shots fired, no windows smashed, no fires set. The Oxford is still standing as is The Old Snohomish Theatre (I swapped the "e" and "r" for your benefit) which was the named target of the foiled attack. Maybe if high school football doesn't come back we could stage antifa threats on Friday night's. (On the outside chance you see any news on this event (it has made it on some national news) the reports I've seen, local and national are very misleading)

Hope your weather is still rocking it...take it easy, peace :-)

LOL! Most excellent meme...made me "giddy" (Lee) :) Ya'll are sticking to the four letter names for your offspring, eh? Makes it easier on the Birthday Cake decorator! LOL! When I read "Alfy" I thought of Michael Caine in the movie "Alfie" (have you seen it?). Shelley Winters plays Alfie's "older married woman"...she looked pretty sexy before she ate all the food at the buffet table on "The Titanic"! LOL!

That's really interesting (and frightening) that the "unrest" has spread to your relatively "quiet" part of your country. So do you think that the "threat" was made by Antifa or some fat guy sitting in his bedroom? With so much propaganda and disinformation being spread by the left and the right (and the Russians, Chinese, Iranians) it's friggin' hard to know what's real and what's manipulation. I am really glad that nothing came of it...besides you getting half pissed and your dogs being pissed off! :) Alrighty then...time to make the donuts! Have a great Friday my friend and congrats on your upcoming "Alfy"...may I suggest "Wilson" for his middle name? :) Take care!

LOL! Thanks! Actually Alfy is because that is the name of the pizza place my son was working at when they met. I was pushing for Sparta because that's the name of the pizza place I worked at in high school. My only solice is that Milo's middle name is Brian (I would have settled for Minderbinder (Catch-22)). I guess I should consider myself lucky that my son wasn't working at Fatburger.

Snohomish county was just given permission to move to phase 2. Many places around here have been in phase 2 for quite some time, but at least now it's official.

I haven't seen "Alfie", but I see Jane Asher was in it who was a girlfriend of Paul McCartney and sister of Peter Asher of Peter And Gordon fame if I'm not mistaken.

Well, one more shift before a phase 2 weekend...take it easy! :-)

LOL! Now that's a funny meme! You should submit that one if ya haven't already! LOL! I don't know if I have ever watched one full episode of "Roseanne"...a great supporting cast but I just can't stand Roseanne Barr! LOL Catch-22 is a terrific film and now I wanna see it again...and I just learned that Buck Henry wrote the screenplay...it's no wonder that the movie is so good! :) Oh and thanks for reminding me that my father had the novel "Catch-22" on his "bed bookcase headboard" which I read when I was about 13...a few years before seeing the movie! :)

We're moving up to the next phase here too..."Level 3"...and just like that, I can go and get my hair cut! LOL! My hair is so long, It's looking like my Grade Nine grad photo...but with a helluva lot more gray! :) And good old Paul...he could pull some pretty lookin' birds back in the day! LOL! Take care and have a great Bad Photoshop Sunday my friend!

Nice! I was never a big fan of Roseanne, but there was one episode about DJ's coming of age (he didn't want to go to the blackboard because he was pitching trouser tents) that was hilarious.

I was at a milk bar in New Zealand back in the '80's and I saw "Catch-22" and "Star Trek 3: The Search For Spock" in a carousel and bought them both. A couple weeks later I was stuck in my tent in the pouring rain and read "Catch-22". It blew me away, to this day it's one of my favorite books. ("The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" quintilogy is still my favorite). "Catch-22" the movie is one of the few examples of both the movie and the book being outstanding. Coincidentally I submitted an Art Garfunkel meme for "Bad Photoshop Sunday. Buck "Colonel Korn" Henry was awesome. He and Mel Brooks created "Get Smart"

My shop just purchased 400 digital thermometers for covid which got me to thinking...what if we just had everybody wear mood rings and if they turn red send them home for 14 days. Amazon just delivered 15 mood rings that I ordered so we'll see how that goes (I'm joking of course)

Have a great Bad Photoshop Sunday and stay out of the red! :-)

Good Thursday my friend! It is Thursday ain't it? I've been working so many hours it seems one day runs into another! LOL! I am really looking forward to the weekend and hopefully getting a day off...the weather here has been cold, windy and damp all week, so at least I'm not missing out on any "summer"! :)
Catch-22 (novel and film) were both terrific! Another novel which my father had was "One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest" by Ken Kesey...an excellent read and perhaps even a better movie! It's gotta be one of my top 3 favourite films. I could watch Jack Nicholson in that movie over and over again...and one fantastic supporting cast...they just don't make many movies llike that anymore! :)
I remember mood rings but never wanted to own one...didn't they make "mood t-shirts" too? LOL! Well I'm in the mood to jump in the shower and get off to work! Take care out there and have a good one! :) Oh, I laughed at your Jaws meme! LOL! Sorry I have no meme...no time! LOL!

Happy Really Bad Photoshop Saturday Newfoundland! I read Cuckoo's Nest and remember having a hard time distinguishing whether Chief was telling the truth or hallucinating. It was kind of like trying to follow Catch-22 as the plot keeps jumping forward and backward in time. Never owned a mood ring back in the day, but I did get a Pet Rock for my birthday one year (I also had Puka shells, but never wore them). We now have a new country on Capital Hill named CHAZ (Capital Hill autonomous zone). Puts me in mind of the original cast SNL sketches of The Nerds (Lisa Loopner and Todd Delamuca-Gilda and Bill). One sketch was at the science fair and Steve Martin appeared as "Chaz The Spaz". The hockey arena is racing a deadline so we're kinda slammed (a good thing)...almost to Costco, have a great weekend!!! :-)

LOL! I like Juan Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest! :) Hey buddy, long time no hear (from me... 'cause I literally haven't opened up this laptop in two weeks) LOL! I've been averaging about 50 hours a week at work and I just don't know what the Government is gonna do with all my money! :) I've been "as busy as a bayman with two woodstoves" and I'm really looking forward to Wednesday (Canada Day) a payed holiday...I plan on finally mowing all the dandelions in my overgrown backyard. :) How are things with you and yours? All's very well I hope...still busy building the arena? Are you folks all compelled to wear masks in public now? Stay safe my friend! :)
My favourite line from Cuckoo's nest was when McMurphy (Jack) talks about his shock treatment...(see attached meme) After seeing the film I used to practice saying that line just like Jack did! LOL! When I was in my early 20's I worked as a Nursing Aide in our local "Mental Hospital" (everyone called it "The Mental")...had to attend a couple of shock therapies so the entire movie really touches home! LOL! Ciao for now and I will be back real soon! :)

Nice! I remember that scene, I really should go back and watch that movie again (actually there a lot of movies I should watch or rewatch). We've got a three day weekend coming up for Independence Day and weather permitting I'll tackle the jungle out back. My mom has beachfront property on Whidbey Island and we used to go up there for The Fourth, but having three goldens freaks her out so we haven't been up there for awhile.

The arena is going gangbusters so we are pretty busy. They named it "Climate Pledge Arena" which sounds a lot like a furniture polish (see subsequent meme). We are now required to wear masks, but nobody is doing it so we'll see how it goes. As I understand it you need to wear a mask entering an establishment, but once you are seated you can remove the mask. We went to a local watering hole earlier and did just that and the bartender thanked us which leads me to believe that nobody else is doing it.

Have a great Canada Day and don't work too hard! :-)

Good Bad Photoshop Sunday west coast! Hope that you aren't too hung over from last night's fireworks LOL! I liked Welcome Back Kotter...whatever happened to Gabe Kaplan? Good to hear that you can go out for a beer and a bite to eat. You can now do the same here with all that socially distanced stuff...but I'm gonna wait awhile before doing any wining and dining. I'm really glad that things are slowly getting back to "normal" (for now) and will get better for all of us! :)

I just happened to wake up after dozing off early the other night to turn on the TV and Stephen Colbert was introducing Brian Wilson...he played "God Only Knows" from his home...I immediately hit "record" on the PVR! :) Here's a youtube link to the clip...I know that you will appreciate it if you haven't seen it...I found it very touching! :) Take care over there and have a great day!
