I recommend reading Make room! Make room! It's only a short book.
If you don't want to read the book you could watch the film Soylent Green and if you can't / are unable to watch the film you could just Google the name 'Soylent Green.
After that, I recommend either reading or watching the BFG, that should clear things up. :)
