I place myself about here on this political compass, which happens to be right about where Joe Biden 2020 is.

The compass isn’t 100% perfect in all respects (it was made in 2017 or 2018 and due to intervening political events it needs to be updated with some harsher placements for Hugo Chavez and Donald Trump), but it’s one of the best such compasses I’ve seen.

Everyone will have their own definition of “Leftist,” but I consider it to be somewhere to the Left of Sanders.

I will cringe at those folks all day long.
