However, our trade deficit is not a sum of money that we have lost, it is how much more we buy from other countries than they buy from us. We bought items that we received, so the money was not wasted. And trade deficits are not always bad.

Another reason: he is constantly praising authoritarians. Take Russia's Vladimir Putin, an oppressive leader who hides every bad thing that he has done from his people and silences criticism. Well, yes, but actually no. It is true that there are a lot of other factors when it comes to this pandemic and other issues. China covered up evidence of the pandemic and silenced doctors that tried to sound the alarm, and Xi Jingping is undoubtedly an idiot. But Trump has played a big part in the spread of the virus. He did not close the country and listen to his health advisors until two months after the virus began to spread. He is also trying to reopen the country for his own gain in the reelections.

So I would say that while it is not entirely Trump's fault, he is one to blame for helping the virus spread. And yes, I am using common sense here.
