In the case of knowing if someone is gay, a hospital could refuse a husband to visit his gay partner in the hospital, they could refuse to accomodate a gay party at their restaurant, etc.

The civil rights act was to protect all Americans regardless of skin or religion, it is time to revise that to also protect them regardless of who they love.
