I was in Barcelona on Friday the 13th, of March, when the President of Spain came on TV and told everyone that a complete lock down would start at 9am the following morning.
Everything was already a ghost town, but Saturday afternoon, it was so eerily quite.
Americans have no clue how lucky they are that they can go to fast food place, out for a walk, or buy groceries.
I witnessed the police storming the airport with thousands of starving people cause there was NO FOOD for the people desperately trying to escape and go anywhere... Our flights were cancelled 6 times! Finally on the 7th try, we were able to get to London!
Our flight was one of the last flights out,,, CRAZY!
BTW... the rain in Spain, really does stay ON the plane!
Praying for Spain everyday...
