Now, the statement "my brother is an only child" commits suicide. How? As soon as the sentence is uttered, it is rendered false... Listen closely: "My brother (meaning there are two siblings) is an only child (you cannot have a brother if he is an only child; now you are talking about someone completely made up)."
The statement "I cannot speak one word in English" is also verbal suicide...Listen closely: "I cannot (not possible) speak one word (no word) in English (you are saying you cannot speak one word in English as you speak a whole sentence in English)."
"There is no truth." "There is no (there is not) truth (objective)."
This is a completely false statement. Why? Because to know that there is no truth in itself it's own truth...If you don't believe that, then the same thing happens: This person would have to have access to objective truth to know that what you are saying "there is a truth" is wrong...It is a non-sequitur fallacy.
