The police are never more than 2 minutes away in my neighborhood. We have a dog who barks his head off at the drop of a hat and conspicuously-placed surveillance cameras.

I'm not afraid of a home invasion whatsoever.

not everyone has that option nor do they chose to live in what seems like a police state that you do...thats a choice... weather or not to exercise your right is a choice...i am sure you feel secure in your nanny state..but leaving your security up to other is not very secure

It’s called a “society”. Not sure why you would call having police available a police state. And don’t dis my nanny. Most people shot in (a very unlikely) home invasion were reaching for their piece.
