Question being, the during the Spanish flu, masks tracking and tracing didn't exist. Yet the US still did good. Now that said I know the flu and Sars-CoV-2 are different but how can we use 1918's logic to beat this?

I wouldn’t say the 1918 US response was “good” — more Americans died in that pandemic than any other in history. Not sure what lessons it holds for today, if any, but I doubt we should look to that period for guidance.

It’s 100 years later and we have more modern technologies and practices available to us. I’d be looking around the world for examples of countries that have handled it better.

Yes you see, looking to other countries would be great but, nobody wants to do that. No one in Congress wants to look at other countries for advice.
