You seem to be incapable of understanding the part where the OP pointed out that China refused our CDC access to Wohan.
Now It is true that the Trump administration has seen fit to shrink the NSC staff. But the bloated increases in government employees that occurred under the previous administration clearly needed a correction… One such correction at the NSC was to create the counterproliferation and biodefense directorate, which was the result of consolidating three directorates into one, given the obvious overlap between arms control and nonproliferation, weapons of mass destruction terrorism, and global health and biodefense. It is this reorganization that people like you have misconstrued or in the case of CNN/MSNPC has intentionally lied about it If anything, the combined directorate was stronger because related expertise could be commingled.
Basically claims that streamlining NSC structures impaired our nation's bio defense are false. Global health remained a top NSC priority, and its expert team was critical to effectively handling the 2018-19 Africa Ebola crisis after CNN/MSNPC claimed he fired the whole CDC response team.
As for the models...they are still way wrong as early on they said 2+ million US citizens would die.
