ok, sorry if this offends you, but as a kid who got an A++ in mathematics multiple times, this is killing me right now. any number to the power of 2 is multiplying the number by itself ONCE. so, if that number is 2, you are multiplying 2 by itself. that's 2x2. 2x2 = 4. not 16.

Its not just iPads. It's the fact teachers don't care and are teaching 40+ students. It's also the common core curriculum. I homeschooled my nephew after the public schools failed him. He couldn't read or do math. I ditched common core and just went with phonics and flash cards. He jumped two grades by the time I was done.

When I was in kindergarten we didn’t have iPads to do schoolwork on, we had to use computers and it was beautiful.
