I'm guessing you meant to say the Political system or the capitalist system. Yes, it favors money over everything!! The whole system is guided by who can influence the most and 99% of the time that influence is dictated by money. Whoever has the most of it, has the potential for the most influence if they so choose to use their wealth for such endeavors. However, if there was a figure that was unwilling to give in to bribery but was also capable of bringing truth to the masses in an intelligent manner that could greatly shift how the system functions.

The industrial revolution has yeilded far more positives than negatives. If it wasn't for the industrial revolution, you wouldn't be typing on this computer to me right now and you wouldn't have a means for communication to talk on your nice cell phone nor would you have electricity or food in the supermarket and the list goes on....

you look at these MATERIAL goods as good things but the truth is they have only brought more suffering to HUMANITY as a whole...

People are sadder and lonelier today yet they are in gigantic cities filled with many people?

A peasant farmer in the medieval era or a Modern man working in an office job.

The Modern man working his office job who may or may not be miserable who gets to leave his job after "X" amount of hours, leaves work, gets in his car, goes to the store buys a cup of coffee , listen to his favorite songs on the radio while driving home. Gets home takes a nice warm bath/shower, puts a hot meal in the oven or microwave. Sits down watches t.v. or movies before going to bed in his incredibly comfortable air or spring mattress .....

is far more happier than...

the medievel farmer who is up at the crack of dawn until the end of the day busting his ass and breaking his back for the basics just for the sake of pure survival, constently worried that the next passerby isn't going to rob him for money or food or rape his wife and kill his kids. The medievel farmer isn't concerned with modern conveniences because things like toilet bowls and proper sewer lines are only availeble to the royals in the castle. The Medievel farmer doesn't have a comfortable bed after a hard exhausting day of work or an instant hot meal or electric or gas/oil heat to warm his home. When the medievel farmer injures himself or gets kicked in the chest by a stubborn horse that breaks his ribs, there is no modern medicine or local hospital to go to for proper treatment or modern medicine to numb the pain of surgery. There is no electricity or lights or special equipment!!

If you think there are some negatives to modern technology or industry than I agree, there are negatives to all advancement but if you want to instinst that the industrial revolution is the cause of our problems then go live with the amish people and get off the internet and throw away your t.v., car, cell phone... good bye

You're so indulged in the material that you cannot see the truth of our world which is
no matter how many nice things you have you can never achieve true happiness with the material and what i find most funny about your post is that you seem to view the medieval era as this violent chaotic warring period where peasants always worked which is completely false not only did peasants work less than modern man they also did much more fufilling work.

The modern man may work his 10 hour office job then leave work, get in his car, go to the shop to buy coffee, listen to his favourite songs then gets home and has a nice bath, puts a hot meal in the oven, sits down and watches television before going to bed in his comfy mattress, yet you seem to forget that these are ALL material goods and luxuries that in the end only bring momentary false happiness.
Modern man likes to delude himself with the idea that he lives a life superior to that of his ancestors yet his life is so unfufilled due to the fact he is unable to do any power processes leaving him empty and upset, yet he is so deluded by the material that he cannot see the truth.
