I seem to remember seeing this exact joke in 2016, but about Trump. That one's a bit more accurate, simply because there are Trump supporters who actually say he was sent by God (which is hilarious in and of itself).

Lets face it, there is no stat, no survey, no empirical evidence either way. There is just what we hear and see, and it has nothing to do with political views. Stupid people look into the sun during an eclipse for example, and that has nothing to do with politics.

Generally, I find both groups to be equally dim, regardless of politics. However, I disagree with your belief that Mike Pence is stupid. He seems reasonably intelligent, or at least more so than Donald Trump. He could make a better president than Trump if he runs in 2024. But my favourite this year would be Jacob Hornberger. I hope the Libertarian Party picks him as their nominee, and not that cretin Justin Amash. But what do I know? I'm British, not American.
