That being said, the party appeals to old racists and confederate flag waving idiots, because it repeals civil rights and brings back the concept of whites only hospitals and restaurants.

There are gay people in the Republican party as well - nothing about that means that the republicans would protect their rights.

its literally the point of that party - it calls for the end of civil rights, just because it overlaps with Republicans doesn't excuse it.

It's literally the primary goal of the party. They would allow a whites only store to refuse service to a black person.
