Well evil is a lack of good. The devil is an actual being who turned from God and all that is good and in defiance puts all his efforts into making everyone turn from good. He's not imaginary.

Yep I've met many luke-warm Catholics who were shocked to find out that the Catholic Church has a Rite of Exorcism. Belief in the Devil and Hell should be dogmas (if they aren't already, the Catechism mentions evil spirits indirectly and directly many times but I don't think there's a doctrine).
