When it comes to praising Republicans, Mitt Romney and John McCain are the two big figures I like to talk about: both because they were the GOP’s last two Presidential nominees, and because Sen. Romney actually manned up and voted in impeachment to remove the stain on our country that is President Trump. The late Sen. McCain, if he were still alive, would have joined him.
When you get a chance, read Mitt Romney's Senate floor speech announcing his impeachment decision. It's the most searing indictment of Trump that I've read from any source, right or left. The speech is one for the history books; perhaps for a future generation of Republicans, it will offer a roadmap back to reason.

There are others — Bob Corker, Ben Sasse, Paul Ryan, Justin Amash, and conservative writers like George Will, Ross Douthat, David Frum, Charles Krauthammer, even Jonah Goldberg on occasion — whom I like. Sadly, most of them are dead, retired, or no longer associate with the Party.
George H.W. Bush is probably my favorite modern President of either party. He achieved tremendous accomplishments in just one term, successfully managing complicated geopolitical crises like the disintegration of the USSR and the Persian Gulf War. And H.W. was fondly remembered by all who knew him well as an absolute class act.
To any Republicans/conservatives reading this: Which Democrats do you like?
