What, like, go find more feminists to help you educate people because equality is a good thing?

I used to be a feminist. I read feminist books. I read feminist articles. I listened to feminist speeches. I have conversations with feminists at least once a week. I'm fully aware of the movement

What made you change your mind?

I was only joining the movement because I'm an advocate for women and I assumed this was a movement for it. I was not aware of the rhetoric and the hypocrisy until later on

I suspect that the rhetoric and hypocrisy you are talking about is voiced by extremists, every movement has extremists, there are Buddhist extremists!
Those people are not representative.

Can you give an example of the hypocrisy?

You know that discrimination is not just about prejudice but balance of power, right?

Women in western countries have exactly the same rights and privileges as men, without a single exception. Women on the other hand have several rights that men do not have.
Feminism is cancer.

Maybe you're not who I thought you were. The right-wing spout the same hackneyed expressions over and over, sometimes it sounds like there's only a few of you.

Feminism is equality, if you have a problem with equality, you either wandered out of the 1950's and got lost or you're insecure and don't know how to treat women like the equals they are.

Equality is not a disease and if you find the idea threatening, you are the problem.

If you are going to use extreme examples of feminists, I'd like to pre-emptively point out that every movement has extremists, even Buddhists.
Extremists are not representative of any group.

Feminists are not interested in equality. If they were they would champion causes such as identical prison time for identical crimes, guaranteed equal custody rights in the event of marriage dissolution and shelters for male victims of domestic abuse. They not only do not support these things but actively campaign against them.
In fact, Erin Pizzey, the woman who started the first women's shelter in the UK, decided to open a men's shelter as well when she learned that a lot of the women who suffered this violence were also very violent themselves. Not only did she receive no support for the initiative as she had done with the women's shelter, but she was ruthlessly harassed day and night by feminist agitators, eventually being forced to flee the country altogether after they murdered her DOG and dumped the body on the doorstep.

Look her up if you don't believe me. The 'extremists' you're talking about are the rule, not the exception.

Erin Pizzey is NOT a feminist. She says herself that she refuses the label and rejects the mantra of the modern movement, which is supremacy and dominance not equality.

And if those were only the extremists, where were the "real" feminists rushing to her defence? Answer: There were none. Yet by your rationale they should have been more numerous than the extremists and therefore able to quell them and their hostility. No such effort was made.

So a feminist recognised that men need that kind of support too, provided it and was harassed by extremists?

That's not saying 'feminism is cancer' to me, it's saying extremists sabotage the efforts of the movements they claim to support.

Thank you for proving my point. Feminists claim to be removing negative stereotypes from both genders. Yet, they rush to traditional shaming tactics when men disagree with their movement.
