If you don’t know what’s happening, then it is entering the lottery. It takes away the one thing that Minecraft Hunger Games/Survival Games gives to the players, the ability to use their skills.

oh...right, but he will need food and stuff when he is in the wild. the wild is harsh and is very tough to survive in. I'm basically trying to incorporate your powers and stay true to the hunger games at the same time.

It's where he transforms into his Photon mode, which can disintegrate literally anything that hits him out of existence. He has no control over when it happens & is controlled by his second mini-conciousness. So even if he doesn't know he's gonna die, it's gonna happen anyway. It also acts as some kind of warning.
