Checking in on this Covid-19 subplot.

Feds charge doctor who cited Trump to push hydroxychloroquine 'miracle cure':

Would I have liked hydroxychloroquine to be a "miracle cure" for Covid-19? Sure. I want this virus cured and gone ASAP. It would have been nice if a pre-existing drug could have served that purpose. But hyping it before its anti-Covid-19 efficacy could be proven in high-quality clinical trials was a mistake. Like it or not, conservatives: Trump publicly wrapped himself in this drug before that happened. Just another example of Trump zigging when the experts around him (and reality) zagged.
I will keep watching this subplot and await further evidence, but for now, it appears other drugs are showing more promise.
Trump and Fox went all-in on a coronavirus silver bullet. But maybe the wrong one.:

Whenever a cure/vaccine is found, whatever it is, I sure look forward to hearing from Trump how he "was for it before anyone else," and all the necessary rewriting of history from conservative media and Flippers here.
