First Reagan, then Ahnold, and now Trump. I have no idea how Republicans continue to say this with a straight face.

Schwarzenegger was signifcantly better than I expected. He had a pretty good environmental record.

Yeah. He was a pretty moderate Republican. As I recall, he was eventually relegated to RINO status as a result.

Of course he was. Anyone who's not a trumpsucking ancap is a communist. Those are the only two positions that can exist.

It’s easy to forget that before becoming President, Donald Trump was a reality TV host and beauty pageant judge, whose only noteworthy political viewpoint was a loudly voiced, unhealthy, arguably racist, and ultimately false skepticism of Barack Obama’s birthplace of origin.

Well: it’s actually not that difficult to forget, but some folks seem determined to do just that.

Before Trump, we had Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) as Governor of CA, and Ronald Reagan (R) as Governor of CA before becoming President himself.

By my count, that makes 2 out of 4 of the last GOP Presidents as coming from an entertainment-industry background.

And let’s not forget Clint Eastwood’s prominent speaking role at the 2012 Republican National Convention — the whole “empty chair” routine.

In conclusion, the record demonstrates Republicans have absolutely no problem with celebrities in politics in theory. Yet this continues to be a big right-wing talking-point.

I can only conclude that Republicans resent *liberal* celebrities who are outspoken about voicing *liberal* opinions that rub them the wrong way.

I really just don't understand why republicans are being such hypocrites. Like they don't want the government to tell them what to do with their bodies but they want the government to tell women what to do with their bodies. It's just so stupid.
