Petition for the word "shit" to be marked as NSFW

Can you give some reasoning for your suggestion?

Shit is relatively mild for the 13+ age group as far as we can tell from various authorities in the U.S.

Using the site while under age 13 is against our terms of service. Parents have responsibility to verify the sites their children visit.

Although, "retard" is flagged as NSFW but is not an NSFW word. So the logic is flawed.

Not sure I understand what you're saying. What do you mean by "not an NSFW word"?

When I use the word "retard" or "retarded" it automatically puts an NSFW tag on it. But "shit" doesn't get an NSFW. Shit is considered a bad word, but retard is an actual word that means to slow down or impede. I understand there are those who use the word in a negative way, but it's kinda frustrating when I use the word in a tag it flags my meme as NSFW.

Yea this problem exists with many words that can be used in multiple ways. We're trying to do it based on chance. It's extremely rare that people in 2020 say something like "the sand in the bearings was retarding the movement of the car" or whatever, especially on Imgflip.
