Is that a Creedence Clearwater Revival reference? LOL! Buddy I am pissed...my Rear Window meme was rejected in "politics" because it was deemed to be a repost and not my original work...I spent two hours on those binocular people this morning! It took 5 hours for them to disapprove it...it was up on the frontpage/memes overload for 5 hours by then...maybe they mistook those memes as someone else's and not Newfoundlandman! LOL! No big deal really...I just don't like being accused of stealing someone else's hard work...HOW DARE THEY? LOL! See attached for what they said...

THERE'S A BATHROOM ON THE RIGHT (AND A JOHN ON THE LEFT) | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
That is a mashup of Captain Obvious and Overly Attached Girlfriend with a CCR reference thrown in for good measure. That really sucks. Interesting that CCR came up because something similar happened to John Fogerty as I understand it. Apparently, Creedence Clearwater Revival sued John Fogerty when his Centerfield album came out because "The Old Man Down The Road" sounded too much like "Run Through The Jungle". So in other words John Fogerty got sued by himself for sounding too much like himself and lost (at least that's the way I heard it). It really sucks that after all that work the MOD isn't allowing you to get credit. By the way, that is a great Photoshop and concept...always nice when the two come together! :-)

LOL! Excellent Fogerty meme sir...made me laugh this morning, thank you! :) I absolutely love John Fogerty! He played here in 2012 and came back again in 2014...I saw him both times and would love to see him in concert again...he is an incredible performer and really seems to "get into it"...a music legend for sure! :)
Thanks so much for the compliment regarding MY Rear Window meme! LOL! I find it hard enough biting my tongue and not responding to the MAGA trolls, let alone dealing with a MOD that assures me that I have "plagiarized" someone else's meme! LOL! I look forward to seeing your Bad Photoshop Sunday composition! :)
If your interested, here's a youtube link to John Fogerty live in concert here at our Mile One Centre in 2012 performing "Rock n' Roll Girls"...I was there somewhere...dancin' and singin' along with the crowd! Cheers my friend! :)

LMAO! We saw Creedence Clearwater Revisited last summer and, no disrespect to Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, but it was very apparent that John Fogerty drove that group. If we ever get the chance to see him I'm certain we will. Speaking of legendary songwriters named John and mistaken lyrics, the world lost a genius recently (who is John Prine, Alex?). The John Prine Live album (pictured above) has a version of "That's The Way That The World Goes Round" with John introducing the song. He tells of a fan who requested he play The Happy Enchilada song and had no idea what he was talking about. Eventually the fan said, "You know, 'it's a happy enchilada and you think you're gonna drown'" (The actual lyric is "It's a half an inch of water and you think you're gonna drown"). With that John performs the song complete with "Happy enchilada" in the final chorus. Maybe a little "Lazing On A Bad Photoshop Sunday Afternoon"...take it easy friend. :-)

Happy enchilada to you too! :) I am not familiar with a lot of John Prine's music except maybe "There's a Hole in Daddy's Arm"?...my oldest brother loves John Prine and is encouraging me to listen to more of his songs...looking forward to it! :) I am listening to Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon now on youtube...not really familiar with that song but it's marvelous! :) Reminds me of some old "George Formby" tunes...if you have a couple for minutes to waste, here's a youtube link to a British musical/comedy dude who makes his own videos (Stevie Riks) I think he's excellent! Here's his version of "Washing Windows" Have a great afternoon Washington! :)

If you're looking for a place to start with John Prine I would recommend "Bruised Orange"...that is a pretty good introduction. When John died last week I played the first track ("Fish And Whistle") for my wife and she gave me a bewildered look and asked what I liked about the song. I said it's simplicity and she didn't get it. To this day my friends bust my chops about John Prine, they hate him. "A Night At The Opera" is one of my favorites and really shows how unique each member of Queen is/was. The video put me in mind of Spike Jones And His City Slickers and an old local act Stan Boreson. Another least requested song of ours is "Lazing On A Sunny Afternoon" by The Kinks. Take it easy Newfoundland! :-)

What a coincidence...I was just listening to Karen singing "Yesterday Once More" Every sha-la-la-la, Every wo-o-wo! I love it! :) Sorry for the attached meme but when I read "Bruised Orange" I just couldn't resist! LOL! It's great how "memes" are kinda like a Rorschach Test where you blurt out the first foolish thing that comes to mind! :) I will definitely check out Bruised Orange! Speaking of Queen...I would imagine that you've seen the Bohemian Rhapsody film? I saw it in the theatres when it came out and enjoyed it...enjoyed the music of Queen the most though! I will confess to "tearing up" at the Live Aid scenes at the end...it was very well done! :)
Glad you watched the Stevie Riks impression of George Formby...here's a link to another one of his videos which I just found. John Lennon and Elvis Costello as a duo performing The Beatles "I'll Cry Instead"...Stevie's playing both roles...I think it's really well done. If you have a couple of minutes it may bring a smile to your face! Carry On Washington! :)

We did see "Bohemian Rhapsody when it came out. It's one of only two movies that we've seen in the theater for more than two years (the other being "Star Wars IX: The Rise Of Skywalker"). I liked the way it portrayed the recording of "A Night At The Opera", four individuals coming together to produce a masterpiece.
Thought it was great how Roger got pressured into hitting the high notes and the crap they flipped him over "I'm In Love With My Car". Hadn't really thought about it, but it is kinda a strange song. Very impressive video, based on the Elvis Costello I'll bet he could do a mean Ray Davies (maybe even doing "Lazing On A Sunny Afternoon"). Take it easy, Newfoundland, Tuesday's gone with the wind. :-)

Please feel free to clone Brittany on a bunch of spears! What's mine is yours! LOL! Rock, Paper, Scissors is really good...best meme I've seen this morning! :) Jesus, I know that I'm getting old and foolish when I search for "Bugs Bunny The Rabbit of Seville" on youtube! LOL! Do you think that kids these days would be interested in watching "Italian Opera"? (no Oprah jokes) LOL! Well, maybe if "The Simpsons" were performing it! :) Some good news in this part of "Da Great White Sout" (we tend to "drop our h's" and add a "d" in place of "th"...Irish ya knows?) LOL! With the Grace of God, it will be the fourth day in a row of no new COVID-19 cases reported in Newfoundland! There's more cases out there yet to be tested, no doubt, but it gives us all a little hope! :) I can't remember if I've posted this Beatles meme in comments before...sorry if you've seen it! :) Just realized it was Friday...Happy Hour...It's Five O'Clock Somewhere! Take care! :)

Lol! Thanks...here's the one that didn't do so well. Forgot about Bugs Bunny, don't think today's generation can appreciate a Saturday of Looney Tunes and I'm just a bill. I have an I'm just a bill redshirt (and Conjunction Junction) and a few years back SNL did a Schoolhouse Rock skirt and my daughter went crazy over the shirt. I hadn't seen that meme (it's a good one!)...uh, oh, here comes work...have a great one down there lol...:-)

LOL! "The Rise of Skywalker"...Luke gets lucky! :) I hadn't been to a theatre in donkey's years but had to go see "Freddie" on the big screen! When "Rocket Man" was released, I had to go and see that...a much better film than "Bohemian Rhapsody". Taron Egerton's "Elton" was spot on...British teeth gap and all! LOL!
I hope that I'm not boring you with these "Stevie Riks" videos...if I am just "block" me! LOL! When you mentioned Ray Davies, I discovered a Stevie Riks tribute to Ray Davies (with Paul McCartney) doing "Lazing On A Sunny Afternoon"...did you know/see this video before? Or are you really psychic? LOL! Anyways, I really enjoyed this "version" of that Kinks tune and hope you get a kick out of it too! Have a happy Wednesday morning my friend...and a sunny afternoon! :)

Lol! Now that's downright scary. I saw Elvis Costello and thought now that wouldn't take much tweaking to become Ray Davies. Then I thought since I had referenced "Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon" and since "Lazing On A Sunny Afternoon" is our favorite Kinks song to piss off the neighbors why not have Ray sing that. Throw in the McCartney and it's like one giant gelatinous cube of coincidence (sorry, I just watched "Onward"...great movie by the way). I swear I didn't search Stevie Riks! Can you believe I haven't seen "Rocket Man"?...It's on the list. Stevie Riks puts me in mind of a DJ we had (Bob Rivers) that produced "Twisted Tunes"...I will try to post a link to one, but no guarantees. If it plays try not to think of "Candle In The Wind" Take it easy down there, friend. Peace. :-)

LOL! Sounds like Brittany's been eating too many asparagus "spears" LOL! Reminded me of the farting cowboys scene in Blazing Saddles! Glad you enjoyed the Ray/Paul tune...what is it with the Brits and their teeth? Damn...Austin Powers' face just popped into my head! :) I will definitely check out "Onward"...it looks real good! I am in dire need of a haircut and thought of trying an Edward Scissorhands meme (with Georgia Hairstylists opening up soon)...but after looking around, I think that idea has already been done...damn! LOL! Hope you and yours have a safe and happy day, west coast! I may just go and pick up an order of "take-away" onion rings (Newf style)! :)

Asparagus spears, LMAO! That's really good! Here's an oldie Scissorhands meme. I submitted another one a few weeks ago, but it didn't do so well. I have a yearly Christmas tradition of submitting a template of The Blazing saddles campfire scene with the caption "Do you smell what I smell"...insert "night wind" joke here. Interestingly enough, the "Brber Of Seville/Edward Scissorhands" episode of Seinfeld was on last night, cue Count Floyd, "Ooh, that's really scary...okay maybe it wasn't so scary..." Have a great day in The Great White South!

Good Saturday morning left coast! :) Sure it's like Christmas morning here with the snow gently falling...that's the price we pay for 3 days of sunshine in a row! LOL! I'm just a bill and SNL made me think of SNL's "Mr. Bill"...I think that both "I'm just a bill" and "Mr. Bill" would make for some good memes...for those of us old enough to remember! LOL! Take care and try not to work too hard, my friend! :)

imgflip.com/i/19kvrs Great minds? Here's one from a long time ago that includes "I'm just a bill" and "Mr. Bill" and it's in an SNL comment so there's that (it is generally frowned upon to post a link to one of your memes in a comment thread because it steers traffic away from the original users thread, but since the traffic here is mostly just us I felt okay to link to it so you could see the "made 4 years ago" for yourself...4 years! Oy vey!). Glad you got sunshine and then snow...we got sunshine and then mud. Have a great Bad Photoshop Sunday Eve! Shalom! :-)

I'm running out of "comments" that allow me to post a "reply" LOL! Thank you buddy...I was wrong on the number of days in a row with no reported cases...I think it's 8 days in a row now! :) Hopefully we will all see that "trend" very soon!
Oh, I was gonna do a Bowie meme on "Stay At Home" theme but just saw this attached meme on the net...it's all been friggin' done before! LOL! Ciao!

8 days, great! It sounds very promising! Some construction workers here are going to be allowed back to work on Monday (I know many of our jobs are going to reopen). Time to put this thread to rest with one original meme anecdote. One of my more successful memes was "The Dark Side Of The Pie Chart" which was a pie chart with the sections colored to resemble the cover of "Dark Side Of The Moon". I was so proud of my original concept and it got a bunch of upvote. A while later someone sponsored "Repost Week" and sure enough reallyitsjohn posted a very similar pie chart and I was flattered that he would use one of my ideas. Then I checked when it was made and it predated mine by several months which led me to a case of "if he saw mine he figured I stole it from him". Original content is very difficult. Take it easy and I'll see you on another thread! Peace. :-)
