Happy Easter, Everyone!

THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST

For those who are unfamiliar with this holiday, we Christians believe that Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day, which is today.

Jesus for our sins, He lived a sinless life but though He being innocent has taken upon Himself our sins. He bore our sins on the cross and today He miraculously rose again, physically and bodily from the dead.

Scripture in the Old Testament or the TaNaKh prophecied this

In the Bible, the prophets predicted His death. In Genesis 3:15 in a little hint "He will bruise your head and you will bruise his heal"; In Daniel 9:26 the Messiah will be "cut off but not for himself". In Isaiah 53:5-6 states why He will die, and in Psalms 22:16-18 it speaks of the manner of His death and humiliation.

However, not only did the Prophets predicted His death but also His resurrection

In Psalms 16:10 "For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell and neither will leave thine holy one to see corruption".

And Jesus predicted His own resurrection:

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

And so this day is extremely special to us. We celebrate it in thankfulness and in hope that one day, He will return!

Have you noticed the cycle of life in plants, particularly the tree leaves and flowers where they would grow after Winter, bloom in Spring, reach their peak in Summer, but begin to age in the Fall, and die in Winter?

Outside of scripture the evidence of God is in His creation, even the godhead the scriptures says. so no one is without excuse (Romans 1:18-23). The knowledge of Him is such that even the seasons bear His glory, not just the heavens (Psalms 19:1-4)t & in the seasons illustrates the Gospel Message

Spring: Christ is born

Summer: Christ lives

Fall: Christ is crucified

Winter: Christ died

Spring: Christ Rose again from the dead

The seasons bears this out beautifully.

Of course, not all could see this seasonal display as some are continually hot like Saudi Arabian peninsula, remains lush as they are in the jungles of South America, or ever cold in northern tundra of Siberia, but I'm sure God has other ways. For example, the Sun rises and the Sun falls.

Has anyone realized the message? God only knows, but it is likely a no due to human blindness to God because of his sinful state (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Was it for nothing? Certainly not. Those whose eyes were opened to the things of God will see things more clearly or it would be revealed to them. Such as those like Nichole Nordeman, or those who taught her.
