As long as Trump controls the narrative of those with chronic cases of TDS, so they've lost their ability to be rational (meaning they're incapable of intelligent discourse and can only scream orangemanbad) then the moderates still left in the Dem party will view Trump as the reasonable / only alternative to the socialists who now run their party.
