LOL! Now that's a nice piece of fish Paul Hogan's got there! :) I think I'm running out of "reply" options so I am replying to this "comment"...hope you find it! LOL! Yes, the "skipping" part of that Gerry Todd skit was genius! :) I had the "surreal" pleasure of seeing Neil Young in concert here back in April 2009 (seems like yesterday)...wicked, wicked show...another one crossed off me bucket list! :) Don't "passover" the chance to see him if ya can! LOL! Have a great day and keep up the good work! :)

"Passover" LMAO! If we ever do make it to see Neil you'll wonder what "tuchus" so long (sorry). I think one of my favorite things about SCTV was the way Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas played off eachother. I remember Dave as Bob Hope and Rick as Woody Allen doing a kinda sorta takeoff on "Play It Again Sam". Mazel Tov! :-)

LOL@Jewish Darth Vader! I hope that "God" has a sense of humour, otherwise we are getting struck by lightning very shortly! LOL! I learned some fabulous news yesterday...I dropped by Fabulous Foods for my Last Supper (lunch actually) and the sweet lady told me that the "powers that be" are allowing them to stay in business! I raised my hands in the air and said "Thank the Lord Jesus!"...she agreed! LOL!
That SCTV sketch was called "Play It Again, Bob" and is one of my very favs...back in the day, I put my mini cassette recorder up to the TV speaker and recorded the audio...I would play it over and over trying to mimic Dave Thomas mimicking Bob Hope! LOL! Thomas does the best Hope ever! :) I can still remember him saying (as Hope) "The Village People, ladies and gentlemen, aren't they something? They're the first rock group to stay at The Waldorf Astoria and request bunk beds!" LMAO! If you have 12 minutes to waste...here's the youtube link to the whole sketch! Have a good Good Friday and shalom my friend! :)

LMAO! That's awesome that Fabulous Foods is staying open, that means so much at a time like this. There were several cast members that did spot on impersonations (and I think the makeup crew did a fantastic job). Dave's Bob Hope was second to none, Flaherty's Bing Crosby was spot on, Eugene as Ricardo Montalban couldn't be beat and Rick Moranis had several (including Woody Allen). When I think Judaism and SCTV I can't help, but think about "The Jazz Singer" with Al Jarreau as Yizzel Dithers. That was pure comedy genius with them doing a bizzaro Jazz Singer, complete with Eugene's Sid Dithers proclaiming, "I HAVE NO SON!" By the time they started goofing on Linda McCartney I could barely breathe. Happy Good Friday. Peace. :-)

LOL! Yes, I remember watching that SCTV episode with guest star Al Jarreau...I guess it was the "Al Jarreau/Al Jolson" name similarity which inspired that skit! LOL! Every cast member of SCTV throughout the years were just so multi-talented and did incredible impersonations. Dave Thomas as Walter Cronkite and Rick Moranis as David Brinkley were hilarious together! Joe Flaherty and his Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Guy Cabellero...I will forgive Joe for not being Canadian eh! LOL! I loved Kathryn O'Hara as well with her Lola Heatherton...Martin Short's Jerry Lewis...the list is endless! :)
I think that I did my share of Good Friday Fish and Crucifixion memes yesterday, so I guess I will have to come up with something for Bad Photoshop Easter Sunday! Have a peaceful day and keep the faith...Shalom! LOL!
P.S. I don't know how Levy could keep his eyes "crossed" for that long as Sid Dithers!

LMAO! I forgot all about Cronkite and Brinkley. One of my favorites was Levy as Floyd The Barber, but I'm sure there are so many I've forgotten. Many years ago I bought one season on DVD (can't remember which) specifically to watch the Three CP1 episode with my son. We were on the floor watching "What fits into Russia?" and the slams on Uzbeks. "Who is noticing something different about Vallery?...new shoes! Zoom in with Russian Mini-Cam" (if you don't remember that episode my apologies for going off on a tangent, but I'm guessing you do). That's probably the last time I saw anything Second City. I think one of the networks is going to rebroadcast "Jesus Christ Superstar" with Alice Cooper as Herod tomorrow. If you watch it notice that as Herod enters someone misses a cue and Alice is noticeably miffed. Have a great Bad Photoshop Easter Sunday Eve! :-)

I'm convinced that Eugene Levy must have enjoyed "crossing his eyes" LOL! Dr. Tongue (John Candy) and his sidekick Bruno (Levy) were always good for a laugh with their 3-D House of Pancakes, Stewardesses, Beef etc. :) Thanks for the heads-up on "Superstar"...it's on NBC this evening (7pm ET 9:30pm PT) and I will be sure to let my friends and family know 'cause I don't think that they've seen it! Have a good "Good Photoshop Easter Sunday" my friend! :)

Happy Easter Friend, one of my earliest memories of SCTV was a Dr. Tongue where he asked a young woman if she'd like to see his Dinky (his cat named "Dinky"). Was that Stewardesses? House Of Slavegirls (with "Smell-O-Rama") floored me because even though I could see it coming a mile away, when Bruno (Woody Tobias Jr.) farted I lost it (in fact just typing that made me laugh out loud (wife must think I'm crazy)). Looks like I've just invented "Parentheses Sunday". Thank you for the info on "Superstar"...knowing the network made it easier to set the dvr. Have a great Bad Photoshop Easter Sunday! :-)
