But if you listen to Johnson’s remarks after the question was clarified, it’s clear Johnson has well-developed and, frankly, mainstream views about the Syrian conflict.
This was a gotcha journalism at its finest, and most certainly would have been “fake news” had it happened to Trump.
But yes, a viral moment from Johnson’s doomed 2016 campaign is the real problem in the world today, and not the 3+ years of well-documented misconduct and obstruction we’ve seen under Trump.
