Everyone gets cared for with/without insurance

I'm not sure what you are tryng to say because I pay for my health insurance which would mean that I am presumably NOT a freeloader. But to the original point being made - it was a mandate and one could be fined for not complying and Obama fans applauded him but have the audacity to call Trump hitler.

I just never understood the anger against the mandate when all it did was force people to pay for something they were unfairly taking and making everyone else pay for.

Well you said the magic word - FORCE. Many of us wasn't unfairly taking it either. Obamacare was a horrible idea.

It's never a horrible idea to stop being freeloaders. I suppose you want more people on welfare too? Just because we shouldn't "force" them to work?

Splitting hairs. We all take advantage of our system. It's not by choice. You have no insurance and are in a car accident, you feed off the system just as surely as someone waiting for their bi-weekly welfare check. There is no difference.

Those people end up paying. The few times when I didn't have insurance and had to had to go to the doctor or one of my children ended up having to go, I paid. The silly mandate though would have had those without insurance pay a fine. There is something about it that's un-American. We should be the land of the free and this idea isn't.

I know plenty of people who had their emergency room and heart attack prices forgiven. You can't get millions of dollars from a stone. That is why the rest of us pay so much money. There is no free ride when it comes to healthcare.
