Happy April Fool's Day back! Things are okay for me since I'm working, but I feel sorry for the people that aren't. They've banned fishing and just announced golf is off limits. From a psychological standpoint I'm not sure that is so wise being that this region has produced more serial killers than just about any other (one of our claims to fame).

Well good day to the "killer state"! :) It's probably all the mauzy weather over there that drives people nuts! LOL! What? No golfing? I guess the "wealthy" will have to jet down to Florida and join the President for a round! :) I don't think that we'll be seeing any green fairways here until all this snow melts...maybe by June! Lol, thanks! Me? I'm dancing in the grain and the sky is a mauzy shade of winter. Still trying to determine who and what is essential. Got a nice hail storm yesterday, Newman hated it. My mother in law is in Florida with late stage lung cancer and she was supposed to fly up this summer, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. The good news is they think it may be possible to shrink the tumor to the point it's operable. Maybe there will come a time when we can fly down there and I can golf which would be entertaining since I'm not a golfer. :-) Keep the faith!

Actually I was thinking Paul Hogan throw a shrimp on the barbie, but since I'm not sure what barbecued fish and chips would be like I stuck with the deep fryer. Along the psychic line, however, in my last comment I referred to Neil Young's "Southern Man" being that you're south of me, but thought you might not appreciate being associated with that song and deleted that part of my comment (I also toyed with Glen Campbell's "Southern Nights", but that didn't get me anywhere). Watched the clip and literally laughed out loud...I used to love Gerry Todd. Just when I caught my breath they started skipping and I was laughing again. Thanks a lot for that! LOL! I love Bob Ross...I think they still air his old shows on PBS on Sunday mornings! I googled his name and saw the attached pic...van Gogh and weed inspired! :) Very sorry to hear about your mother-in-law, hopefully she will improve and you will be able to get together. My older brother, who lives in California, was supposed to visit us this summer...but that ain't gonna happen now or anytime soon by the looks of things. I think of my deceased father and mother, who were doctor and nurse in England during World War II and the horror that they must have endured...kinda makes this "stay at home" and "social distancing" order look like peanuts! LMAO! We used to watch Bob on Saturday mornings and there was also a little guy with a German (?) accent that hosted a show with a similar format. We used to poke fun at one of his signature phrases, "...a little crimson...". I'm having a tough time getting into the spirit of this whole coronavirus thing. Part of me was looking for a little time off, but I am grateful to still be working. My grandfather's brother was in The Canadian Army during World War I and I can only imagine what that must have been like. I sure can't complain! Stay safe, stay healthy and FORE! :-)

Wow..."Dick f***in' Tracy" (from "48 Hours"). I think we watched William Alexander before we knew who Bob Ross was. I don't think I've seen him since the mid '80's so I'll have to check it out. Seriously...after yesterday's announcement by your Task Force, that wearing a mask would be a good thing, I expect to see almost everyone in my town to be covering their face somehow! If it helps stop the spread of the virus then I am all for it...I have a "neck-warmer pull-up tube thingy" that would work nicely! :) I'm afraid of being yelled at by someone at Walmart "Why aren't you covering your face you arsehole!" Good morning Newfoundland (although by now it must be almost night). My coworker and I were talking about producing a line of facemask like the one above. I was thinking something tasteless like "I survived coronavirus and all I got was this stupid facemask" or a full face shield complete with Alice Cooper eyes and mouth. I'm surprised at the apathy around here. The very first case of Covid in North America reported to Providence Hospital in Everett (less than a mile from my wife's house...we used to walk by it almost every night when we lived there). In the last month I've seen exactly one person wearing a mask (we'll see if that changes) and yet we're projected to hit the top of the curve next Saturday.

Sunday I'll have Good Friday on my mind...we halfbreed Protestants also call it Palm Sunday. Happy Bad Photoshop Palm Sunday (even though it still really isn't a thing). LMAO! Or should that be "Rubber Sole"? I'll be darned, St. John's is actually a little south of Seattle which is south of Snohomish where we are. The Oxford is a pretty cool place. It looks like something out of The Gold Rush and has a Knight in shining armor (have yet to hear him say , "Ni") suspended from the ceiling and a bathtub upstairs where the madam was murdered when it was a brothel. About a year ago I caught wind of a book titled "Haunted Snohomish" that was available at Costco. I searched high and low, but couldn't find it so I parked the cart next to the book display while my wife looked at clothes. As I rocked from side to side I felt my thigh brush against something and when I looked down it was a lone copy of the book...oooh, that's really scary, boys and girls. Sorry to hear about your take-out place closing, the pandemic is ruthless. I don't think it will be too terribly long before things slowly start getting back to normal, but I think it will be a long time, if ever, before we get back (to where we once belonged)...better throw another cod in the fryer, mate. :-)

Happy Coronageddon neighbor to the north! The models show that in this neck of the nape this week should be the storm before the calm (calm being overstated). Both my parents were Protestant and I was confirmed Lutheran and while I am a practicing Christian it's apparent I could use a lot more practice. We took out fish and chips last night (quite possibly my favorite cuisine) from "The Oxford Saloon" - the most haunted building in the state. When we're not hunkering down they get some pretty good music and it's always fun to rock out and watch the haunted doll over the bar giving me the stink eye. Have a great one! :-)
