Coronavirus is serious, but has our reaction been too extreme? Sometimes the cure can be worse than the disease

Coronavirus is serious... but the stock market has fallen so far so fast that I’m wondering if the cure is worse than the disease at this point

Only old and immunocompromised people seem to be dying from this. Rather than basically shutting down all of society, less-intrusive measures to protect only the most at-risk populations could be considered.

Yeh, screw the old and sick people. The mortality rate is already higher than the Spanish Flu and it can severally effect healthy and young people as well. Without treatment that mortality rate will go even higher, but what's a few million deaths in the face of inconvenience.
