I like Mormons in general, but I've been prepping for decades too.
I just wish they had the open-minded courage to read the CES letter and realize things like that the LDS church itself all but admits in obscure places on its own website that the Book of Abraham translation was a complete fiction (now that we actually can read hieroglyphics easily), or that Joe Smith actually gave several different contradictory accounts of the First Vision, or that his BOM "translation" wasn't done with a "urim and thummim," but by sticking his face into a hat with a treasure-digger's "seer stone" in it. You can even see a picture of the stone.
And lots more, if you're brave enough to look.
But yes, give them credit for prepping.
