Folks, I am old. I was playing Minecraft when it was in beta testing. I am grandfathered in for all updates and spinoffs because of this. When I purchased Minecraft over 10 years ago, my credit card company called me because they thought someone had stolen my credit card and was using it in Denmark or Slovenia or some unusual country in Europe. They were processing the credit card transactions somewhere other than where they began developing it (Denmark, before Sweden) and I had to authorize the transaction over the phone! It was weird. It was also cool. There were less than 50,000 miners at the time!!! It was crazy to see this game go from a nothing burger to the most played game of all-time. This game will give me crazy nostalgia for the rest of my life!!! The first few weeks of playing the game, I truly was lost in another world. The mods on the first server I played on were the best. They'd teleport to you immediately if someone griefed you to check out who had been editing blocks last, and then would punish those responsible, They also help awesome events and were just the nicest guys ever. I really, really miss those days. And I feel really, really sorry for those who grew up on Fortnite! MINECRAFT = GIFT FROM GOD.
