Philosoraptor On Hate Crimes

Either ALL violent crimes are hate crimes regardless of the motives, or NONE of them are.

And even with the stupid hate crime laws we have, killed a gay person is not a hate crime. Killing a gay person SOLELY because they are gay would be. But killing anyone is equally bad.

"Hate Crime" - A phony liberal policy (or conservative pandering to liberals) increasing the punishment of a crime based on the motive. Effectively declaring the same crime committed with different motives to be less of a crime. Attempts to control thought and read minds. In a sentence: "So called 'hate crimes' are a vile and offensive affront to our legal system and should be done away with."
