I think you missed the joke ...
A few days ago I was at a costume party and a lot of kids brought ones shaped like a long fluorescent bulb with a rounded end (not sections like the picture). My reaction (which, of course, I didn't tell anyone) was "... those look like REALLY LONG d**dos ..."
