How about Santa Claus? He's basically a socialist ..he only has enough industrial infrastructure to provide one days work per year, he gives you free shit and he will always knows if you're naughty or nice ...because your friends and neighbors will tell him you're naughty

The only thing I find his book comes close to describing in our modern day is Trump’s own “zero tolerance” immigration policy (since reversed) of automatic detainment and separation of families at the border

you've always had automatic detainment for illegal immigration, as you should, it is a criminal offence after all. and the separation of families policy was enacted by O'Biden ...oops, I mean Obama, and Trump put a stop to it, isn't that right? Trump stopped it? 

Didn't Trump stop the separation of "familys" and make sure "parents" stayed with their "children" ...then they were DNA tested to make sure the children were in fact with "family" and not being trafficked ...have i got that right? 

Also, a report by Elijah Cummings? I'm sure that won't be biased let's see ...oh, no mention of Obama, no mention of DNA testing to combat child trafficking ..oh well

Anyhoos, can't remember off-hand if "Ivan Denisovich" mentioned it but certainly it was prevalent in other works like "cancer ward" and "gulag archipelago" but that thing leftists love so much ..."cancel culture", that's straight out of the "socialist" playbook. In a socialist environment your friends will turn you in, in a heartbeat, for an extra loaf of bread. Also, bear in mind, "One day in the life..." was literally, "one day", i can't recall how much background was painted in ...altho' i do remember he made a cameo appearance in Gulag :p

I used to believe in socialism, i live in a country that has strong socialist tendencies ...fortunately tho' nobody ever done anything serious about that
