i said deadlier than the flu, which it is (kills about twenty times as many people per 1000 infected compared to the flu), and it has an epidemic growth trajectory, which it does. people seem to be looking at the net infections to date and the death toll to date as the "deadliness" of the virus. the deadliness is in the trajectory. the number of infections is increasing at an accelerating rate. not many people have died in the u.s. so far because it hasn't been here that long. soon the number of infections will go up a lot and so will the number of deaths. it's just math.

but 98%, that's 20 times more deadly than the flu. don't judge the infectivity profile by just the first few hundred cases. look at the data from italy. also, in the u.s., a lot of people have health issues.

The coronavirus is another form of flu, it's not as bad, the flu A is the deadly one, a lot of people have died. Almost everyone who has got it. And if there's a 98% chance of surviving, that means 98% of victims have survived. And if a lot of people have health issues, and a lot of people survived, people with the health issues could have survived too.

Well, the flu is still very active after all this time, who knows, maybe the coronavirus will subside sooner than the flu. And if it spreads, only few people won't make it anyway.

sure. if only one percent of the u.s. population gets it and only two percent of those people die, the death toll might not even reach 100,000. well, good night.
