Look, imgflip is a meme site, not a prank site. Getting upvotes is perfectly fine as long as you are getting them the correct way, there are a few ways to do this:
• make 1 really good meme
• make a bunch of decent memes
• beg for upvotes (in the upvote begging stream)
• repost memes (in the repost stream)
Notice that [tricking people into thinking that they are eliminating a upvote begging from imgflip, taking their upvote, and doing nothing with it] is not on the list, I'm personally fine with upvote begging as long as it doesn't get out of hand, but tricking people into giving you points is just wrong, imagine a door to door salesman who is saying that he's raising money to make a new supermarket/school/something, takes the money from kind people who donate to him, and keeps it for himself, he'd be a scammer, this is exactly what you are doing, you're promising people something, taking their upvotes, and betraying them like they are nothing, machines, as if they're perfectly fine with being scammed or robbed, you aren't doing a small, everyday, friendly prank, you're scamming people for their upvotes. Please stop this, it is hurting the imgflip community.
