The Quran is often used by Islamic Militants to justify waging Jihad against any infidel. Of course, you could argue that any text in any holy book can be misused in that fashion... that is true,
Unfortunately, I'm becoming more and more convinced that Islam is a religiion physical Jihad rather than a spiritual one that Islamic apologists often claimed.
It's not to say that the vast majority of Muslims will be radicalized by readng the Quran, but the problem is that the Quran doesn't give any context to the passage. Instead, it is a mere list of do's and don'ts. No historical background is given and it gets worse with the saying of Muhammad in the Hadith and other Islamic texts. there, it is rife with Jihadi rhetoric.
