ON 6TH OCTOBER 105 BC, NEAR THE TOWN OF ORANGE FRANCE, 2 ROMAN ARMIES COMMANDED BY QUINTUS SERVILIUS CAEPIO, AND GNAEUS MALLIUS MAXIMUS WERE DEFEATED BY THE CIMBRI, AND TEUTONES. THIS RESULTED IN 80,000 ROMAN TROOPS, AND 40,000 AUXILIARY TROOPS INCLUDING NONCOMBATANTS KILLED MAKING IT THE WORST DEFEAT IN ROMAN HISTORY.
