REGULATIVE VS NORMATIVE PRINCIPLE; Open/Pragmatic approach to church practices; Conservative Emphasis in church Practices; Allow any useful practices & doctrines from the world so long as it does not directly violate scripture; Avoids practices & doctrines from the world that risks a violation of scripture; Risks becoming dogmatic but nevertheless unlikely to abandon the orthodox view of scripture; Risks becoming a church given to compromise which would likely abandon the orthodox view of scripture
