Having to consume mulch like food? Punishing yourself with a bland life?

No, quite the contrary! What d´you mean by mulch-like food? I eat all types of food that don't exploit any innocent animals. D´you know you can still eat things like pizza and desserts and even things like mac n cheese as a vegan? It's just made of plants instead of dead animals.

Protein can be found in abundance in foods like grains, pulses, nuts and seeds as well as lots of processed vegan foods.

No. Cruelty is part of life. If you can humanely kill food. I'm for it. No unneccessary cruelty.

So, how d'you humanely kill an animal who doesn't want to die? Also, is it necessary for us to do this?

Notice I said 'unnecessary' some cruelty is necessary. It is necessary because there are deficiencies in pure vegan diets and not all people can manage a vegan lifestyle for medical reasons.
